Ok I am going for business and want to pursue an mba, I have about 24 credits in total in and was wondering what type of degree do I need to advance to that next level to get an mba?

Right now im on the track to get a degree in business administration...

Also would it be best for me to get an associates and then get a bachelor and then pursue the mba or just go for the bachelor and then the mba...I want answers!

Explain?

I thought an M.B.A. was....MBA almost guarantees you an executive job and a damn good income....Which is what I am seeking.

Just go for MBA. Associate degree what is that?

Follow the normal course: bachelor, then work for a year or two, then go for MBA. This will work out well for you.

The school I go to requires 120 credits for a Bachelor's and 39 additional for an MBA. 60 credits will get you an Associate's degree but is only available for Business Administration - Management Concentration, and not Marketing or Production Management. I don't know if 24 credits means you've only passed 8 classes of 40 or if they figure credits differently. Let me know how that works. I have 111 credits - need 3 more to get my Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration (Human Resources concentration). I then am enrolled in Graduate School for an MBA in the same degree concentration.

An Associate's generally is the first step in achieving a Bachelor's. I didn't get it because of my degree concentration and because most of my transfer credits went towards electives. If you're not sure what direction to go into, stick with basics - Psychology, English, Principles of Management, Intro to Computer Systems, E-Commerce, Marketing, Human Resources Management, etc - and leave out the electives - the fun stuff, pretty much - until you've figured out which degree you want, that way you don't waste any classes you can't use if you change your focus.

Having 5 year plans is a waste of time. Opportunity knocks when you are not expecting it. If you put yourself in a 'plan' you will be blinded to opportunites that come your way that you did not plan for.

As long as you are at making contacts (college is great for this) opportunities DO come your way.
