Publicise this right, send info out to local schools, recruit some people that are keen and you could end up having a monthly or bi monthly event on your hands. CHarge a few bucks for spectators to cover costs, perhaps some prizes (gloves, fight shorts, t shirts etc) and have some spare change for the organisers, it could turn into something pretty damn special.

fo sho'! i was thinking more like every other month.this way we can build up people and get them "ring/ cage" experience" and try to get them into bigger events. it could def. help the sport grow and show off more talent that this sport craves.

spot on. the sport needs a stronger 'grass roots' level to feed new guys into the bigger shows, and it is shows like this one that could be a strong starting point

Who finalized them? I've never known Sensei Mark to do that anytime before the night of the fights....

We've got clearance for 5 fights... I told Mark we had em paired up for June 7th, and he asked me to put these guys on the card for his 8/9 show. He actually confirmed with me that I had everyone matched up, and asked me to submit card fights and names by this week, which I just did today. Weight classes match up and everything. My fights are confirmed.
Sorry the ninja can't be all-knowing this time... but indeed, the ninja has been own3d.

Unless you walk in with an opponent, you walk out having fought one you didn't see comin. Kinda a rush if you ask me. Might be a trip to fight someone I wasn't training for.
