in their primes tyson kayos him, in tyson's short prime nobody could take his devastatingly fast powerful punches, remember, schmelling kayoed louis when he was coming into his own, tyson would have too

The one thing I can still be happy about is that even if the Red Sox won the next 20 World Series they still wouldn't have more than my Yankees.

Hopefully, the Bostonians will stop their whining.

What, will they have to live for now ?

They'll never stop whining. They have an incurable inferiority complex.

Louis Vs Tyson

Who wins this one?

If Tyson doesn't finish him early it would be all Louis. I think Half of Tysons prowess came from intimidation. I don't think louis would be scared and that would fuck with Mike's head. Come the middle rounds the black bomber would be dominating and probably ko mike in the 9th or 10th.

I havent seen too many of Joe Louis fights but I would put my money on him. My uncle told me that Joe Louis is the greatest heavyweight of all time and he would woop anybody (even Foreman).

Tyson crushed his opponents in his prime cause of his speed and power. Well, Louis was faster and had a serious punch as well. Joe would circle around Tyson for the first rounds and knock him out with a vicicous jab-right hook-left uppercurt-right straight combo. Louis is miles above Tyson in their respective primes.

They're both big punchers which would make for an exciting fight, there could be several KD's, but Louis is the better technician. As the fight wore on Louis would give iron mike a boxing lesson then KO him

I think a prime Joe louis wins with a TKO or KO in the 6th or 7th. The only way I think a prime Tyson wins, is with an early knock-out, or if he catches Joe with an uppercut or hook in the middle rounds which surprises and staggers Joe, and Tyson finishes him off. That happens only if Joe gets lazy and forgets to keep his hands up. But i doubt the Brown Bomber would do that against a prime powerful Tyson.

By the way this is coming from a Big tyson fan. But I just cant see him beating Joe unless one of those two happen.

Nice avatar Swift, who is that boxer gettn his face smashed in?

Foreman

Louis KO's Tyson in 5 or 6. Tyson can't fight his way out of a paper bag. He can beat the snot out of someone, but if they fight back and aren't intimidated, it's all over for Tyson. There is a big difference between a true fighter and someone who can just punch.

Louis KO's Tyson in 8-10. I think that Joe the best HW fighter in the history of boxing. Mike is good in his prime. Very good. But Louis is better...

Emanuel Steward himself recently stated that Louis was the best of all time, but that he could not hang with the best modern era heavyweights because of the size disparity. Tyson was large, but not as large as Lewis or Vitali. Louis was a great boxer puncher and the best technician, I really can't decide on a winner....If i had to...Tyson by TKO in the middle rounds.

If the fight lasts in the early rounds, it will be a KO by Tyson.
Above 3 rounds I'd pick Louis to outlast Tyson either by KO or decision.

Louis by KO in the mid rounds, the very moment Tyson begins to tire. Tyson never knew how to pace himself and it would only take one screw up (fatigue is a bitch ain't it?) before he was introduced to the Brown Bomber's lightning fast left hook (and the straight right or uppercut or whatever punches Louis felt like following it with, all in breathtaking fluid succession). End of fight.

Louis was the best there ever was. No one ever beat him in a straight up war when he was at his best. Too quick, too powerful. You needed to be clever to defeat Louis. A good experienced counterpuncher, like old Schmeling was. That, or if you fought him when he was an old man like Rocky did.

So if we're talking about a fight between and Tyson, both in their primes, the only question in my mind would be how many rounds Tyson could last.
