* Vanderlei says the knee is almost fully healed. He will of course be in the Pride GP in August. "To enter and win the tournament is the champion's responsibility."
* The ligament he had put in his knee was actually a transplant from someone else, not elsewhere on his body. (Yuck. Some poor guy limpin around Brazil now with a pocketful of bling I guess )
* He says that after he wins the middleweight crown this summer, next year he will start fighting Pride HW fights.
* He is looking forward to "coming back on a big stage (meaning the GP); I will win the GP by KO over Quinton Jackson in the final."
* Winning the Middleweight GP is his own requirement for progressing to HW next year.
* He has a son due in August and intends to give him a Japanese middle name, like Akira or Tetsuo, etc. because he likes Japan so much.

I will beat him to a pulp." [The literal translation of the Japanese expression used is "I will make him full of dents." I have no idea what he said in Portuguese.]
