I'm only writing this because I am at a point where my mind is so jumbled with past workouts and accomplishments that I don't know where to start to get my fat ass back in shape... I am 5'6" and weigh 250 lbs... ( I weighed 155 about 7 yrs ago now) so I'm not a fat fool no double chin and sh*t I just have a huge butt and gut right now...I jog around 3.5 to 5 miles a week, but that sh*t isn't working... I can job 3 miles straight and be sore but rarely tired... I remember when I ran track we used to warm up with 2 miles, that's why I feel my running isn't working...traditional working out and running have become so boring to me, but I reall NEED to get back in shape... I would love to join some type of fighting club, but where I live we have threee boxing rings, one is for the solidiers and the other two are for the young mexicans... I am at my wits end..

I don't eat breakfast or lunch and I guess I binge eat at night...but I stay within 2000 calories a day...

I was going to start eating oatmel toast and egg whites from breakfast
Ramen noodles for lunch
and a 500-700 calorie dinner that consists rice fish or chicken and vegetables

what is killing me, is I get extremely hungry around 11 pm every night...

Get ya ass down the gym. Quit whining about being fat on here when its on your fault. And if your running as much as you say you are you must have a shit diet to never lose weight. Run daily not weekly too.

Say you little b*tch...you are speaking to a grown man...state something other than the obvious... I know I need to run daily, I know I need to eat right, but that's easier said then done when you are married with 4 kids, work 2 jobs and go to school...but thanks for the motivation though...

Thats no good. You need to get ur metablosim going in the AM. You can't keep skipping breakfast and lunch. Also you should not eat past 2 hours before you go to sleep, especially binging, cause then you eat all this shit (when you havn't eaten all day) then pass out. Its just storing all those extra calories and turning into fat. Best thing to do is work out between 3-5 times a week. Try to eat healthy every 2-3 hours during the day. If you work at an office like me, bring your food in for the day. some healthy suggestions, veggies, lean meats (turkey/ chicken), fruits (esp citrus for weight loss), whole wheat breads/ pasta's, nuts (like almonds, cashews). Stay away from processed and fast foods. Also treat urself once a week to something/anything you want, treat it like a reward for doing good during the week. IF you can do this and still eat under 2,000 calroies a day, youlll be loosing weight. good luck

I suggest actually working out and not typing it out, it works wonders...you sound like a woman crying about it man...You have a huge butt? go get in trouble, go to prison or jail and Im sure the "huge butt" will get worked out.

Good advice. To keep that metabolism kickin all day, spread your meals out to 5-6 small meals throughout the day. And eating late at night, right before you go to bed, is murder on your waistline. That's one habit that's especially hard to kick; I know, I've been down that road myself. But all it takes is a little willpower. If you want change, you have to be willing to accept whatever sacrifices that go along with it. :boxing:

LACK OF DISCIPLINE . That is your problem, only you can change your habits.. you have to want it. We can type till our fingers fall off but you gotta apply what everyone is saying. Keep running 4 times a week and eating right and your bound to lose weight. I know its tough but if you have a goal and you really want to achieve it you can make it happen. Ive slipped up numerous times just gotta stick with it.

What the **** are you telling me all this shit for? I don't give a shit if you have 2 jobs etc. But, your just using it as an excuse for being a fat lazy cunt. You should be working out and eat normally to lose weight its common sense. There are no secrets to losing weight just hard work something you seem scared of otherwise you wouldn't be in such bad shape.

Best advice i can give is not to eat at least 3 or 4 hours before you go to sleep. I changed this up and lost 10 pounds.

Eat 3 regular meals, missing out 2 meals and eating a large amount at night does not = the same as eating 3 meals a day, even if its only 2000 calories (500 less than a male should have). Eating like that slows down your metabolism which means that your body believes food sources are scarce and reacts by increasing the amount it stores as fat. Also, cut out the alcahol. You sound like a stressed man who is married, guess is you like to have the few odd beers here and there? That slows down the metabolism too. If you can run that much and not feel tired then you're not pushing yourself hard enough. If you're heat rate doesn't rate around 120 then you're barely achieving a thing. Maintain a heart rate of around 120-165. Below this and you're not doing a great deal but warming up the muscles. Also, don't push yourself too hard if you're aiming to lose weight, you don't want to move above 170bpm max or else you begin to use glycogen as a source, not fat, meaning you will minimise how many calories you lose. Running is fine, joining a gym is not always nessecary but it would help because using things such as the rowing machines, cycling machines and cross trainers will do alot of good.

Definitely need the metabolic boost and if you've got wind to run 3+ miles and not be tired either run faster or run until you are seriously winded. At 5'6 250 you are putting some serious stress on your organs when you are resting and that as much as anything will prevent you from losing weight as your body will hoard calories as a resting energy source. It's a viscious cycle at this point because your body needs to lose weight but regular means at that size and density won't cut it. You might even consider a surgical asist to get the ball rolling before you experience Kidney or liver troubles.
