Posted March 17, 2008 -- In spite of all the barriers and hurdles they've encountered, the Hot Boys are still standing, and the group is finally set to make that long-anticipated reunion. This past weekend at the Core DJ’s Retreat in New Orleans, B.G., along with Juvenile, Slim, Baby and Mannie Fresh were all in attendance despite any public animosity the members may have shared for each other in the past.
Though a reunion was scheduled to take place earlier this year at All-Star Weekend in New Orleans, it was halted due to an altercation which resulted in two individuals being shot, the group remains adamant about reuniting for another group project.
During a performance at the Cricket Club during the Core DJ’s retreat, B.G. and Juvenile took to the stage to confirm and assert the groups new found unity, “I got a solo album coming out. Juvey got a solo album coming out. Wayne got a solo album coming out. And then we gon top it off at the end of the year with the Hot Boyz album. Strength is in numbers n***as said they want it,” B.G. told the crowd.
Last night, attendees at the JMJ (Jam Master Jay) Awards, which were held at Club Dream, also had a chance to witness the reconstructing of the infamous Cash Money crew. All members, except Turk due to legal issues, Lil Wayne's previous engagments (he's currently touring right now) and Juvenile who later apologized for missing the event, were in attendance.
As for any early collaborations amongst the newly reunited Hot Boys, B.G. is prepping a remix to his next single “You Heard Me," featuring Lil' Wayne and Juvenile. “You Heard Me” will be the second single off B.G.’s new set, Too Hood For Hollywood, which is slated for a May 2008 release via Atlantic Records.
