IM not, I didn't see much head movement. The only time I saw it was rnd 3 and that helped him land some good shots.

View Full Version : Are you guys satisfied with Pacman performance last night? noypi2 03-16-2008, 01:58 PM IM not, I didn't see much head movement. I didn't see this playing out as it did cause of the improvements in Pac's game and how JMM looked to have lost a step or two. In their first fight, MP claimed to have hurt his left hand early and said that blisters in his feet made it difficult for him to finish JMM after that blistering first round. Add that to MP's two fisted attack and fine tuned aggression, I saw Manny winning this fight handily. Instead, it was a repeat performance of his last fight against MAB where he seemed content in going the distance, leaving it to the judges to declare a winner. Clearly not the same Pac who chases a KO in every fight. Is JMM the Pac antidote? Cliche, but it rings true, styles makes fights. Manny seemed to give JMM's power more respect than he gave EM or MAB. Is that it? Or was it JMM's ability to counter and move that had MP thinking about letting his punches go? Take two to get one was norm in his gameplan, but take two to get none gets old quick. Roach told him in his corner to get off first as he dictated the fight whenever he did, but it may have been easier said than done. Was gaining all that weight on fight night healthy? I know that it's typical of MP lately to dehydrate to make weight and hydrate on the day of the fight, but I thought his longer training time for this fight would make that unecessary? Roach did say that he was more disiplined in camp than in the actual fight. More right hands perhaps? Body blows? Better footwork in cutting off the ring when he's on the offensive? I would have to think that the amount of weight he gained had an effect. Of course, fighting JMM had a lot to do with it as well. Hats off to both men, it was a good fight. I underestimated JMM as I thought MP would decisively win the fight with a KO. It was a decision that could have gone either way, but I'm not complaining :D I really do not want to see a third fight as I can't see the results changing greatly. I would rather see Pac go up in weight and JMM to fight Guzman. Chups 03-17-2008, 03:43 AM By making it a close and questionable fight, Pacquiao gave reasons for Xcaret to still stay here at Boxingscene. :D :D miron_lang 03-17-2008, 04:08 AM Im satistied. PAC is winning a fight of the year candidate at age 29 while MAB- Getting KTFO at age 29 Erik Morales - Same. Getting Brutally and humilliating KO at 29 JMM - licking the canvass 3 times before getting a gift draw Im just joking ((( PEACE ))) xzworks 03-17-2008, 04:40 AM tingin ko quits lang ksi yung last fight 10-6 dapat ang score dun sa round 1!!! merjohn32 03-17-2008, 09:32 AM Ako personally hindi satisfed. Akala ko kasi tatapusin na nya yung laban sa fifth round. Parang kulang rin sya sa energy sa late rounds (compared to his late round performances in Pac- Barrera I and Pac- morales II). Basta hindi ako satisfied pag close and decison. Gusto ko blow out or KO. |
