Alam mo naman sa Pilipinas. Speaking English well is considered to be a sign of good education. And the pageant is promoting well rounded beauties - you know, not just good looks but brains as well.

No. Ms. South Carolina is much worse. Her answer to the question was in no way relating to her answer. She started talking about Africa. She did not fully understand the question.
As far as Ms. Philippines, i believed she knew the answer but she doesn't how to say it in english. English is her 2nd languange while Ms. South Carolina, english is her native tongue.
