View Full Version : sugar shane mosley triggerhappy 10-27-2004, 02:30 PM why did shane lose to vernon forrest twice? puppy_dogg 10-27-2004, 02:34 PM same reason he lost to winky. styles make fights, he just gave shane alot of trouble that he could'nt cope with. jabsRstiff 10-27-2004, 02:34 PM Because he no longer wanted to be a winner in a world filled with losers like you, trig. dansweeney 10-27-2004, 02:35 PM forrest's style and size advantage, plus shane keeps moving up in weight, his power hasnt carried up, and he is getting older, when all you rely on is speed that will fade, he isnt adjusting his style right abdiel2k3 10-27-2004, 02:36 PM why did shane lose to vernon forrest twice? becuase he was too much for shane he was too technicly sound to strong to long to big to fast he was just to much for shane shane doesnt do to well with these bigger guys he really needs to go back down to 147 if not lower altho dont think he can go down that much weight anymore and shane doesnt learn form his mistakes hes gonna lose again to winky this time winky prolly wont show him as much respect he'll prolly get him outta there b4 the last bell puppy_dogg 10-27-2004, 02:38 PM shane and winky both have tremendous chins, i doubt either of them will be ko'd. mic573 10-27-2004, 02:39 PM Forrest was just better than Shane that's why. He used his jab to really keep Shane from exploding in the way he does. After he established distance with his jab he began to hit Mosley with the right hand and held on when Shane got inside. A good jab is the main weapon to use against Mosley because Shane doesn't use his jab. He just jumps in with combinations which he doesn't even throw anymore so with the jab you can keep him from doing that and that opens him up for other punches. Disrupt his rhythm and he seems to fall apart like against Winky. triggerhappy 10-27-2004, 02:40 PM wow! why am i a loser? abdiel2k3 10-27-2004, 02:40 PM shane and winky both have tremendous chins, i doubt either of them will be ko'd. hey i can dream cant I abdiel2k3 10-27-2004, 02:41 PM wow! why am i a loser? you were just born that way triggerhappy 10-27-2004, 02:44 PM here we go another online thug! And to not jam in the country of dreams:) ChrististheAnswer 10-27-2004, 03:33 PM Shane lost to Forrest becasue Forrest stuffed his jab down his throat all night long. jabsRstiff 10-27-2004, 03:43 PM Shane lost to Forrest the first time because he got caught with a monster right, followed by a series of monster shots in the second round.. He somehow survived, but never got back in the fight. In the rematch, Shane lacked the sharpness & confidence he had prior to the first fight....a result of the vicious beating Forrest gave him. dansweeney 10-27-2004, 03:49 PM hard to believe he started 38-0 with 35 kayos,. he should have never moved up so high in weight, he is 1-3 and should be 0-4 in his last 4 fights, he should move back down or hang em up, he just doesnt have the power or the phsical attributes to compete higher than 140-147 tops dbacksdude1z 10-27-2004, 03:51 PM Mosley is getting pretty old dansweeney 10-27-2004, 03:57 PM ya he is, 33, he should have retired undefeated, he knew that forrest whipped his ass in the amateurs, i dont know why he took that fight jack_the_rippuh 10-27-2004, 04:42 PM shane and winky both have tremendous chins, i doubt either of them will be ko'd. Julio Cesar Vasquez exploited Winky's chin.. |
