View Full Version : Right Now, Flow for Flow...
ROSEWOOD 03-10-2008, 09:14 PM Chamillionaire > Nas.......
Forget the past albums, money and records sold...Lyrically, creativity, delivery, etc Chamillionaire eats his a$$ alive..
ROSEWOOD 03-10-2008, 09:19 PM Nas has that same ole mono tone in every verse...Chamillion may sing and flow in one bar, all the while making plently of sense and jammin too..Chamillion is slept on by most today..They boy has been doing his thang since day 1 on the underground ****...
Now, whoever say that ballin rapping aint real,
I'mma slap that broke n!&&@ with ten hundred dollar bills..
MetalVomit 03-10-2008, 09:27 PM if we "forget past albums", what is there to base a comparison on? Last album for last album, Nas' was better, IMO. I think I still have 3 songs from Cham's last album on my comp, I have probably 9, maybe 10 from Nas'. Nas may not sing, but he comes with different styles. If it's creative for Cham to bring that sing-song type style like he did on his last album (which was a nice touch), then it's just as, if not more creative for Nas to rhyme in an old-school detective voice from a noir film with Hip Hip as a being in a crime caper. Add the fact that the beat from that song was an ode to hip hop's past, while the song itself was about hip hop's past, and you have Nas, in one song, changing up his tone/flow/style with something important to say in a creative style. That's just one song. Chamillionaire ain't eating nothing alive, imo. I like his style, but he's not on Nas' level, plain and simple. The song I'm referring to of course is:

jomamma 03-10-2008, 09:50 PM chamillionaire mayne nas aint done **** in tha game but git clapped by jay-z.
th4l3pr3ch4un 03-10-2008, 10:01 PM lyrically nas would break off cham.. but i personally like chams flow over nas. But ill take any one of nas's albums over chams.
THe TRiNiTY 03-10-2008, 10:06 PM Cham has an amazing flow. But in terms of creativity, Chamillionaire doesn't lack, he just doesn't touch Nas. Nas made an ALBUM title that made most people question the entire genre. Chamillionaire hasn't done that with any song/lyric/entire album. Not something to be ashamed of, but it's still true.
Tha Greatest 03-11-2008, 03:49 AM Some people are just straight up retarded, I am not going to drop any names.
Addition 03-11-2008, 05:35 AM Another controversial thread, keep this **** coming.
As for the thread, i'm a big fan of Chams and I think he is one of a few southern rappers that can match east coast rappers lyrically, but Nas isn't one of those rappers that Cham can match.
Ayo Rosewood you kno my boy Nas got it locked but wat good wit ya boy Koopa? He aint really been on fire since Get Ya Mind Correct. He still hot but not like he used too.
Big Swangas and Vols/20 inches sittin low, i forgot the rest lol
Killa Cam 03-11-2008, 09:53 AM personally, i like cham over nas, but in reality nas lyrically assassinates cham...il say dis, wen it come 2 singin, chams tha only rapper i can listen 2 who sing (his lats mixtape mixtape messiah 3 had alotta singin choruses but he madetha **** sound tight)...imo nas got 2 classics, chams got 0
RAESAAD 03-11-2008, 10:42 AM Like them both alot but Nas outflows most.....including Cham.

Far from controversial playa....Its for debate purposes only..Cham has fans as well as Nas..I figured I'd throw a name other than Wayne in the mix..feel me playa..
ROSEWOOD 03-11-2008, 12:12 PM Ayo Rosewood you kno my boy Nas got it locked but wat good wit ya boy Koopa? He aint really been on fire since Get Ya Mind Correct. He still hot but not like he used too.

You didn't like his last two albums..I loved them...They were on a much more commercial level that most Southern artist..King Koopa still got his share of the south on lock..

Good post and valid opinion..
ROSEWOOD 03-11-2008, 12:17 PM Cham has an amazing flow. But in terms of creativity, Chamillionaire doesn't lack, he just doesn't touch Nas. Nas indeed did that. Chamillion has given the nation a different picture of what southern artist sound like..We can't argue the past albums because nas has him by a mile..Cham is something special and time will defenitely tell..
Easy-E 03-11-2008, 12:46 PM please. nas is one of the greatest artists of all time, and chamillionare is taking over for xibit on pimp my ride...
fasman 03-11-2008, 06:43 PM Cham is nice and one of my favourites but flow for flow you gotta go for escobar....
THE REED™ 03-11-2008, 06:44 PM Cham will NEVER win any poll or vote against NAS in ANY category... EXCEPT radio play.
And I dont even like Nas, I like cham.
joecrappy 03-11-2008, 07:18 PM I like Cham a lot. I thought his last album was pretty good and the one before that was really good. I bumped it everyday for months. Ridin', as we all know, was a very, very hot track. I haven't heard the first mixtape messiah but the last one I heard was extremely good and maybe even better then the album.
Nas, on the other hand, has been putting out quality music since 94, but has started to decline since Street's Disciple, which was lacklustre. If we're talking career wise, obviously Nas ****s on Cham and just about anybody, with the exception of Rakim, Pac, KRS-One, and Jay-z (:)). But in response to Rose's question...cham is ****ting on Nas at the moment.
If we look objectively, Hip Hop Is Dead wasn't on par with Illmatic, It Was Written, or Stillmatic. There weren't any bad tracks (with the exception of the one Godzhand posted because musically, that song is just terrible although it is extremely creative), but there were maybe only two standout tracks (Still Dreamin' and Black Republicans) and the rest were ehhhhh....Nas also doesn't put out any good mixtape **** and his new 'street single' called What It Is is trash.
So Imma have to go with Cham at the moment, but in terms of career Cham will never have the longevity Nas had or put out any classic albums.
Versastyle 03-11-2008, 07:21 PM Chamillionaire hands down, no explanation needed.

Because, there isn't one? Just kidding. welcome back.
A track from when Nas was a kid that's better than or atleat equal to anything i've heard from Cham.
