View Full Version : Randy vs. Chuck.....WTF WAS THAT?!?!
Purity 06-07-2003, 02:33 PM i was completely blown away! not only on how supurb randy did STANDING UP against the iceman, but also on how ****ty chuck was doing!!
the whole time we were thinking "no worries, chuck's just waiting for his opening and then he's gonna destroy."
kept citing the metzger fight because guy was pretty much dominating throughout that fight until the end when chuck started going ape****. i totally thought that was gonna be the same case. never in a million years would i have predicted what happend last night.
BIG congrats to randy couture!!! whomever has thought less of him in the past has NO room to talk **** on him anymore. true ****in all-around mma warrior in my book right along with names like frank shamrock, sakuraba, and bas. that man gains more respect everytime he steps up.
lightweight 06-07-2003, 03:27 PM Yep, in my eyes Randy's right up there too.
Mr. Beelzebub 06-07-2003, 03:59 PM I was one of the only ones in Global that picked Couture to win. Couture has incredible heart and never seizes to amaze me how he can reinvent himself and improve even more...one of the greatest of all time, no doubt about it.
purerockfury 06-07-2003, 03:59 PM i guess chuck was a big flop
miller8966 06-07-2003, 05:28 PM I wouldnt call chuck a big flop he just got owned
Dutch 06-07-2003, 09:15 PM I do like Randy a lot, great fighter, great person, but I didn't think he could take Chuck.Boy was I wrong.Randy was in great shape and I think it wouldn't have mattered who was standing across from him,he was SOO impressive.I just hope he stays in that kinda shape until he retires (hopefully not soon).
Prince 06-07-2003, 09:19 PM i expected it to happen, maybe not so severely..i knew randy would dominate though.
badguy 06-07-2003, 09:34 PM Randy was awsome standing and wrestling. I think Tito Would have been able to takedown Liddell and do the same thing
But maybe thats why randy was so successful he toke chuck at his own game and it just flustered him so bad you could see it liddlell was like wtf the whole fight. Tito may have been ablt to take him down a couple of times but maybe if he didnt do what randy did standing liddlell would have come through hard to say i gues
Tanner Rhoden 06-07-2003, 09:37 PM I will never call him an old man again.
realkaps 06-07-2003, 10:14 PM Me niether Tanner.....
kcfman 06-08-2003, 12:10 AM I hope the "old" chuck shows up again!
ronnie dobbs 06-08-2003, 03:42 AM the first time i heard this **** about couture fighting liddell i knew chuck would get ****ed up and not have a chance to fight tito. couture has fought alot of great guys. chuck should have been ducking this fight like tito was. looks like a belfort couture rematch now.
Whoremaster B 06-09-2003, 09:27 AM just can keep a good man down. Randy wont stop woopin ass till he carries a cane.
Bluecifer 06-09-2003, 11:45 AM I am still blown away.
The Ensanity 06-09-2003, 12:02 PM Work.
seldomTap 06-09-2003, 06:25 PM Randy has always made changes for whoever he was fighting. I did pick Chuck to win, but Randy getting uo is no great surprise to me
treelo 06-10-2003, 12:51 PM that was ownage of severe proportions
Randy v Tito
what a fight thats gonna be!
whats exactly up with Tito these days?
VulgarTheClown 06-10-2003, 02:09 PM tito would be owned by randy!
OMFG. I wasn't surprised that Randy won, even though I picked Chuck. But it was such a dominating performance I couldn't ****ing believe it. Randy outboxed him, to the point it wasn't even close. And that first takedown, my god, that just spoke for itself.
