Today I went to Amsterdam to do an interview with jerrel venetiaan and I ended up spending most of day there.

I never trained with jerrel but have been at his training a couple of times to take some pics. I have trained under Ernesto Hoost and Ivan Hypolite.

Jerrel is not a celebrity here but he sure knows a lot of people.

We pulled a brilliant prank on a waiter today hahahaha

Hoost is only known in the martial arts world as well... I have been to a pub with him once but nobody is staring at him or something... all they see is a big guy, what I see is a 4 time world champion.

it must be like MMA fighters here then..in japan its a totally different story.

After Jerrel and I had lunch some other guys came to join us so they sat down at the table next to us. We had a nice chat and ordered some more drinks together.

When jerrel asked for the bill the waiter (a young guy, prolly around 18) charged us for everything together, so he didn't split the bill up. so jerrel decided to screw around a bit.

Jerrel: "what are you thinking? I am jerrel venetiaan, I am a pro fighter and these guys so me fight on eurosport last week. I don't even know them, they just bother me here and you charge me for their drinks?"

Waiter:"ohw sorry mr. venetiaan, I'll get on it right away"

hahaha, so the rest of us were almost pissing our pants. We explained the guy it was a joke and he could have a good laugh about it as well.

I'd love to live in Amsterdam, but I don't think I could ever learn Dutch.

you don't need to speak dutch while living in amsterdam.... I know this guy who posts on sherdog (charles bronson). I met him a couple of times and he lives in holland for a long time now and doesn't speak dutch...... everybody talks english here. Just say your english and everybody speaks you language, especially in amsterdam...

Sometimes I even hate it! LOL, I walk into the burger king to order something and I have to talk in english to place an order cause the personell doesn't speak dutch.. :?!:

If I ever become rich and famous or whatever, I'm definitly living in Amsterdam. From everything I've read and heard, it seems like a pretty laid back city.

it's a nice city indeed!
