how do you see this bout playing out.

Let's hear a technical analysis from you fellas.

Not just "Silva owns him", blah blah blah.

Both guys are two of the best in the MMA game. It would be and interesting fight, but I think Silva is really unmatched by anybody else and his length would be a factor if he were to fight GSP. So I would say Silva would beat him.

no doubt Silva's kicks and muah thai is better then GSP. Hands down.

But GSP does have the best hands out of anyone Silva has faced.

And dont give me that Franklin garbage. He's garbage. Lutter is going to submit him.

Yeah both guys are athletic.

But I think Silva's fluidity in striking and how he uses his ranginess is far too much. He'd keep GSP at the end of the quick strikes, and I think they'd accumulate.

He'd also use his length as his defense.

Yup.

GSP too me isn't a natural fighter, he's a trained fighter. Kind of like Floyd Mayweather.

Silva, in my opinion, is like the Roy Jones of MMA.

Both have been beaten by pressure.

Pressure is the only way you are going to beat Silva in my opinion. But who the **** can do it.

How would GSP have to approach this fight to win?

I'd say GSP would have to just go for broke. Because it's clear that nobody is going to beat Silva in a technical match. It looks impossible.

And yes I agree with the Bold. He's clearly established now that he's on a different level with how he worked Henderson in the second round.

A great fighter would do that to Dan Henderson.

Henderson is an animal man. Against a lesser guy with less technique he would of won that bout.

But ****....Silva's ranginess is ****ing crazy. He has a knack like a prime Roy Jones did.

I am honestly in awe of his talent.

If Matt Serra whos known for his Jujitsu KO'ed GSP, what change does his chin have against the insane sharpshooting skills of Silva.

I think only a top lightheavy weight moving down can challenge Silva

I dont care what anyone says....

Serra got flat out lucky.

I'm sorry....

I'll admit i'm their biggest fans, GSP is the best wrestler in the game(watch koscheck, hughes fights he owned wrestlers) but with Silvas power and knees, nobody can go 5 rounds with that power silva has, SIlva By Ko

Regardless of the fact, GSP got knocked out by a guy whos a natural lightweight.
Hows his Chin gonna handle a true Middle weight Let alone a Middle weight like Silva

Bro, he got clocked with a CLEAN shot on the chin. It happens.

Every single fighter in MMA has lost a fight. Via submission or strikes.

No one is unbeatable and anyone can be beaten by a certain gameplan.

It's not like A. Silva has incredible punching power anyway. He breaks you down, but he doesn't hurt you with singles.

for GSP.

It's the only fight that makes since IMO. But, GSP would be at a disadvantage from the start, Anderson cannot cut down much more than he already does, I read an interview where he says he walks around at 210lbs. And if GSP moved up in weight, he'd still be undersized and slower...

I don't understand why you guys are always searching for someone to beat Silva. The needs to take a years vacation.

You said something COMPELTELY IDIOTIC, followed by something that was correct. 1 out of 2 isn't bad.

Why take a long vacation when you are at the top of your game. You would just want to build on your legacy and keep at it, that's what GREAT fighters do.

If u rewatch the fight, GSP got hit in the temple and lost his legs, anyone would've went down from a shot like that, when GSp gets hit on the CHIN he's ok

This come into my mind staright after the Silva-Hendo fight and Silva could handle the take downs well so I honestly think he would beat GSP. I also think Silva would be to big and powerful for GSP. They are my top 2 P4P right now though.

silva isnt weak anywhere. he does it all.. masterful technichian.. and his strikes are insane..

Dorian
03-02-2008, 07:14 PM
GSP is better on the ground then Hendo, look at how he made the best wrestlers Koscheck and Hughes look like they have just started wrestling 1 week ago.

But i think down the stretch he will get tagged by Silvas combo and get stopped
their my favorite fighters btw :)

I still think Fedor is number one p4p but Silva is an animal. I thot Paulo Filho cud beat him untill i saw the Chael Sonnan fight but anything can happen I mean anderson lost to Ryo Chonan by a sick submission

I agree, Fedor is numero uno! Fedor would break silva.

henderson got foolish an tried 2 stand with Anderson Silva...GSP if they fought would b smarter i'd hope and take Silva 2 the ground and keep him there, he has the skills 2 do it.
maybe even ground and pound him or get a sub <<< the only way i see someone beating Silva is on the ground :nonono: but everyone tries 2 stand with him.

Fedor aint worth mentioning anymore. Fans now look at Silva/St Pierre.
