Just a thread to say what do you do for a living. Like not exact high detail or anything. Just an indication like e.g "construction worker" etc etc.

Currently i go to uni. But i do web development part time.

I was a TA for Chippy's while on uni break, but now back to uni. If anyone wants to know how to get insanely good at arm wrestles, buy a nailgun and see how strong your forearms will get.

Christ, I have done a lot of things over my short life. Although I guess music has been one of the bigger constants. I started playing drums when I was quite little and went to uni straight after high school for it. I dropped out half way to pursue my martial arts training, which started with boxing, for many years when my dad trained me as a boxer when I was a little tacker (he was the Australian national Army and Navy Flyweight champ :)).

After doing that for quite a while I got the Wushu bug after seeing Jet Li doing some freaky, flippy, insane moves and that led to me to training like a madman in Wushu for about six hours a day, six days a week for many, many years and eventually being on the Aussie team after winning two consecutive Aus National comps and going overseas to compete etc. Was a great experience and lots of fun!

I was an instructor for about four years doing that until the music bug came back strong enough that I had to go and do that again. So I went and studied jazz at the Victorian College of the Arts. Since then I have been playing music, training boxing again, and working at Computershare which is an International shares/stock exchange company...God knows how I got the job there? Though I'm glad I did because it's great.

Well....:ugh: I know that was a bit more than the thread asked for but, as usual, I got a bit carried away lol.

Now that we're on it, why not give some background info on what led all you guys into boxing or whatever you happen to be doing now? I always find the journey of how people got where they are fascinating. Above was a very brief synopsis of how I got where I am today with many things left out, but, as the old saying goes "It's not the destination that's important, but how you got there."

yeah that's about right. you have to be at least 18 months out of school and have made 18 grand.. plus be independent from your parents.. that's why i had a year off after school just to work. get paid 220 a week now. :beerchug: thank you tax payers
