Whos a better Finisher Shearer ,Henry ,RVN , ?

Van Nistelrooy had'nt scored a Premiership Goal from outside the box unitll just before he left the Premiership hard to believe but true ,quality finisher with the instincts of a classic poacher

Henry scores all sorts of goals ,does'nt poach as many but how many times have u seen hm score when he opens up his body & bends the balll around the keeper ,quality

Shearer capable of poaching from inside the box & also capable of spanking the ball into the top corner from outside the box, better in the air than Henry & RVN

im saying shearer. I remember about 4 seasons back i was watching newcastle at villa park. 81st minute it was still 0-0. There was a ball to the backpost, shearer climbed WAY above mellberg and headed it into the far corner, then ran off to the newcastle fans with his normal arm in the air celebration. I was actually chuffed that i'd got to see shearer score live and see how the newcastle fans loved him. First time ever i was almost pleased that villa had conceded lol

But apart from that, shearer could score with his head, inside the box, outside the box, a spectacular strike, free-kicks, any way you can think of. great player

yeah i agree Shearer would pull the defenders all over the place aswell with his strength & power he was a real handfull to subdue ,even if he did'nt score he was capable of dragging defenders out of position to create space for others

Van Nistelrooy is the best finisher IMO, but his all round game isn't as strong as the other two.

Id say Shearer , although Robbie Fowler in his hay-day before his injuries with Liverpool was just as good id say.
RVN was a great goal scorer, mostly tap-ins from the 6 yard box, but his record was great.

fowler is a great shout mate, he was clinical from anywhere. Shame he never really fulfilled his total potential

Of those three I'd say Shearer. The guy was just an exceptional finisher. He needed to be, as he was never the fastest in the world.

One of the best finishers period would have to be Batistuta though.

I'd pick RVN, simply lethal. His goal to games ratio in the premiership was pretty good as well.

Anybody else think lineker should be in there? great poacher, although i guess he wasn't really someone who scored from outside the box too often

I never really liked Lineker (as he spent a season with Everton)
, but he certainly knew were the goal was, a very good poacher.

Shearer is the best finisher IMO.

Man U and Real Madrid make VNR loads of chances, Henry was easily the best player though.

Fowler for 5 seasons was as good a finisher as any of these, too many ACL injuries ruined him.

hey mickey do you remember fowler used to have a field day against the villa.... i forget the stats now but i think he basically scored everytime he played against us in his prime. I remember a hat-trick he scored at anfield against the us, he was lethal infront of goal, even bosnich couldn't save us!

He was mate I remember the Staunton turn goal and the FA Cup semi goal especially.

Is easy to forget just how good he was considering his best years were before he was 25!

I think RVN IMO but I gotta agree with the Kopites and say in his day nobody was a better finisher than Fowler.

n disrespect to Newcastle fans but u have to take into account the sides they played for Shearer would'nt have got the service RVN & Henry got

what about Fowler against the Arsenal that ****er averaged a hatrick a game against Arsenal ,he Always scored against Arsenal

Alan Shearer can strike and head the ball like no other.

Gotta go with Henry...............if you were gonna buy any player for your club to score goals,you'd have to go with him...he could finish from in or out the box with ease.

It has to be Shearer, Ruud and Henry are exceptional finishers but they always had a world class team who would supply chances

It depends really, RVN was more of a poacher but great finisher, Shearer & Henry could score from anywhere....

But i have to go with Henry....
