...****ing awesome. If you're into the Matrix in any way, pick this up, that **** was awesome - especially the renaissance parts 1 and 2, which tell of how humanity was enslaved by the machines. ****ing excellent, and very possible, makes you think about a lot of moral issues.

the second rennaisance episodes are the most frightening, it's amazing how plausible the story is.

I have it, i got it off of kazaa, good quality.
I really thought it was OK at best.
Some of the stories coudl have been better explained to me.
I don't know, It never tells you when the stories are taking place.
Are they taking place before the Mtrix was destroyed for the 1st time or the second time? i don't know.

Basically they collaborated with a lot of animation big heads and cam up with 9 short films based around the Matrix world. My favourites were Renaissance parts 1 and 2, Beyond (there's a certain something about that short) and Final Flight of the Osiris (which ties into the Reloaded movie). There's also Story of Kid, which is about the Kid in reloaded who follows neo around like a puppy.

The one about a runner sucked imo, and the one where they reprogram a machine to fight for the human cause was interesting but ****ING strange.

I think the same Animators did it. Aeon Flux ruled.

Was that one before or after the current time line of movies?

In the context that it's in, what function purpose does it serve to know what time frame it is in?

Most likely it's before the Reloaded era, but it really doesn't affect anything.

nope not at all - Final Flight of the Osiris serves as a brief prelude to Reloaded, but its not an essential part of the trilogy.
