That second pictuture is nasty. If he ever plays again I would be suprised. I hope the boy makes a full recovery cos he is a very good player. I watched him at Goodison this season and he excellent.

Ian Durrant did not play a competitive game for three years and received financial compensation for his injury. He enjoyed a successful career at Rangers picking up several winners medals during the 90s and played a starring role in the inaugural Champions League when Rangers were 90 minutes from the final but he always struggled to play consistently at the level he had before the injury.

Simpson's career faded into anonymity as he struggled with his own injury problems.

Both are now coaches at the clubs they played for the day that incident took place.

I don't think Taylor done it on purpose was just a miss timed tackle. I hope he is oing OK you never wanna see players get hurt unless they play for Liverpool;)

it happened to luc nilis when he was playing for the villa. richard wright came out for the ball and snapped nilis' leg, nasty stuff. apparently he wakes up every night in absolute agony read a piece on him in the newspaper

I nearly puked, wenger was right in terms of what he said after the game, **** hansen and the cunty media for saying he is harsh, that tackle virtually killed someones career, what if eduardo is never the same again? Its down to that cunt taylor, i hope eduardo sues him for damages or summin.

That is a truly horrific injury, but in Taylor's defence I don't think it's deliberate. Ofcourse when you look at the pictures it looks like he did, but when looking at the footage, Eduardo just got to the ball quicker than Taylor. Thank god Wenger has the sense to take back his comments of Taylor as it was the right thing to do.

I truly hope Eduardo's career isn't over as he is a great talent and an excellent finisher in front of goal. I would've loved to have seen him at Euro 08 as it was his goals that got Croatia there in the first place.

Terrible injury and I don't think he will recover from that as it will require major surgery and pins etc.

As for Taylor, genuine accident IMO, Eduardo shifted the ball so quickly after he had committed.

I remember my cousin suffered a double break in a match - broken from front and back from a double challenge and it was almost a full year before the cunt could walk again, nevermind play football.
