If he ever plays again I would be suprised. I hope the boy makes a full recovery cos he is a very good player. I watched him at Goodison this season and he excellent. P4PKING_2008 02-23-2008, 07:14 PM Thanks mozza. Thats some henrik larson type **** right there. He will be out for at least 2 years imo. Knock out 02-23-2008, 07:28 PM That is nasty the second picture is grusome. Mozza 02-23-2008, 07:30 PM This was a challenge that happened in the 80s and still makes my blood boil. Ian Durrant was one of the most naturally talented players Scotland has ever produced but he was never the same after this horrific tackle by Aberdeen thug Neil Simpson. http://bebo.com/FlashBox.jsp?FlashBoxId=3181899378&MID=3611618708 There has been some debate about whether the tackle was deliberate or not but this picture says everything you need to know. http://i13.tinypic.com/7ys7koj.jpg P4PKING_2008 02-23-2008, 07:52 PM This was a challenge that happened in the 80s and still makes my blood boil. And then the push when he won it should have stopped the play. Then that tackle looked shocking on the replay just went to snap his leg. :nonono: And a yellow card? WTF?!?! What happened to them both? Mozza 02-23-2008, 08:01 PM Firstly the player who did that double footed tackle should have been off. And then the push when he won it should have stopped the play. Then that tackle looked shocking on the replay just went to snap his leg. :nonono: And a yellow card? WTF?!?! What happened to them both? Ian Durrant did not play a competitive game for three years and received financial compensation for his injury. He enjoyed a successful career at Rangers picking up several winners medals during the 90s and played a starring role in the inaugural Champions League when Rangers were 90 minutes from the final but he always struggled to play consistently at the level he had before the injury. Simpson's career faded into anonymity as he struggled with his own injury problems. Both are now coaches at the clubs they played for the day that incident took place. kenny91 02-23-2008, 08:08 PM http://www.vg.no/bilder/edrum/1203772672438_618.jpg http://d.yimg.com/eur.yimg.com/ng/sp/empics/20080223/13/2686518136-soccer-barclays-premier-league-birmingham-city-v-arsenal-st-andrews.jpg Thats nasty i think i can see a little squirt of blood. and i can see the shape of his bone. Don Gorgon 02-23-2008, 08:32 PM http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m85/Toxxxic9/eim7f4.jpg Sorry, a poor attempt to inject some humour in this thread. Apparently Wenger has retracted his earlier comments which is quite big of him. I hope he makes a full recovery, shame he's gotta miss Euro 2008 though Savino 02-23-2008, 08:56 PM I don't think Taylor done it on purpose was just a miss timed tackle. I hope he is oing OK you never wanna see players get hurt unless they play for Liverpool;) black.ink 02-24-2008, 05:05 AM Always horrible to see them tackles. Eduardo is a great player, but unfortunately players never seem to be the same after such horrific injuries. DURAN_IS_GOD 02-24-2008, 08:05 AM Always horrible to see them tackles. Eduardo is a great player, but unfortunately players never seem to be the same after such horrific injuries. it happened to luc nilis when he was playing for the villa. richard wright came out for the ball and snapped nilis' leg, nasty stuff. apparently he wakes up every night in absolute agony read a piece on him in the newspaper Patty Tanager 02-24-2008, 08:44 AM Is Eduardo's foot still in his boot in that second picture?. If it is that is disgusting!. J90 02-24-2008, 08:51 AM Is Eduardo's foot still in his boot in that second picture?. If it is that is disgusting!. It is indeed...the worst footage of it was the one match of the day showed last night  Technical_Skill 02-24-2008, 09:04 AM It is indeed...the worst footage of it was the one match of the day showed last night  I nearly puked, wenger was right in terms of what he said after the game, **** hansen and the cunty media for saying he is harsh, that tackle virtually killed someones career, what if eduardo is never the same again? Its down to that cunt taylor, i hope eduardo sues him for damages or summin. Addition 02-24-2008, 09:32 AM That is a truly horrific injury, but in Taylor's defence I don't think it's deliberate. Ofcourse when you look at the pictures it looks like he did, but when looking at the footage, Eduardo just got to the ball quicker than Taylor. Thank god Wenger has the sense to take back his comments of Taylor as it was the right thing to do. I truly hope Eduardo's career isn't over as he is a great talent and an excellent finisher in front of goal. I would've loved to have seen him at Euro 08 as it was his goals that got Croatia there in the first place. MickyHatton 02-24-2008, 10:17 AM Terrible injury and I don't think he will recover from that as it will require major surgery and pins etc. As for Taylor, genuine accident IMO, Eduardo shifted the ball so quickly after he had committed. Tuggers1986 02-24-2008, 10:20 AM Still not as bas as either of Cisse's breaks MickyHatton 02-24-2008, 10:25 AM Still not as bas as either of Cisse's breaks Cisse's were bad but they were snaps, an impact break causes splinters etc (or so my missus who is a nurse tells me!) http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d145/MickyHatton/cisse.jpg MickyHatton 02-24-2008, 10:27 AM Couple more bad one's. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d145/MickyHatton/Nillis.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d145/MickyHatton/larson.jpg Addition 02-24-2008, 10:47 AM Can ya'll please refrain from posting pictures of broken legs please. Cheers. Technical_Skill 02-24-2008, 11:16 AM Nothing can beat dave buust. I havent even seen it in full, but apparently schmichael was actually puking on the pitch when he went over to see what was going on. MickyHatton 02-24-2008, 12:05 PM Nothing can beat dave buust. Oasis_Lad 02-24-2008, 12:11 PM I remember my cousin suffered a double break in a match - broken from front and back from a double challenge and it was almost a full year before the cunt could walk again, nevermind play football. Technical_Skill 02-24-2008, 01:46 PM http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d145/MickyHatton/Busst.jpg Sorry Addition, but if a guy like me can take it (I broke my leg in numerous places) then..... Thats a bad tackle, actually doesnt look as bad asNillis's, eduardo had surgery for a double compound fracture...........aka, he wont be playing again for some time. Right now, my list goes like this. 1) Nilis 2) Busst 3) Eduardo 4) Alan Smith unless anyone can find busst on you tube, apparently its worse in full flow beecherhq 02-24-2008, 02:46 PM I used to live next door to busst as it goes. I remember seeing him after that break happened, looking very depressed. J90 02-24-2008, 02:57 PM I used to live next door to busst as it goes. I remember seeing him after that break happened, looking very depressed. Id ****ing think so :P TheHoff'sGhost 02-24-2008, 04:30 PM If I remember rightly, Busst's leg wasn't broken by a tackle. I think it was just a freak accident sort of thing where he landed wrong and his leg snapped. Technical_Skill 02-24-2008, 05:40 PM If I remember rightly, Busst's leg wasn't broken by a tackle. I think it was just a freak accident sort of thing where he landed wrong and his leg snapped. Think your'e right, i watched it on youtube, you cant see it close up, only from a distance, you can tell its some mighty bad ****, ****ing schmicheal was actually running away from the scene with his head in his hands. Imagine being one of the medical team having to take a look at busst's leg after, it must have looked like something out of Platoon. Imagine being one of the medical team having to take a look at busst's leg after, it must have looked like something out of Platoon. It must've been a gruesome sight. I think Schmeichel had to mop up his blood afterwards and threw up. Apparently he had to have therapy to get over it. Oasis_Lad 02-24-2008, 05:51 PM Tom Berenger would have grabbed Schmeichal and told him to stop being a slag. "Take the pain, take the pain" TheHoff'sGhost 02-24-2008, 05:54 PM Tom Berenger would have grabbed Schmeichal and told him to stop being a slag. "Take the pain, take the pain" He would have forced the Danish cunt to look at busst's leg. Kaygay would've comforted Schmiechel afterwards though. He's a good listener is kaygay. I'm seeing a re-make here with Kaygay in Willem Defoe's role. Think we should PM Addy? TheHoff'sGhost 02-24-2008, 05:57 PM I'm seeing a re-make here with Kaygay in Willem Defoe's role. Think we should PM Addy? Immediately. This has got blockbuster written all over it. Laddie, what's with Addy and the animal avatars? I've never gotten round to asking him. I seem to remember him mentioning it was something to do with spirituality - they represent parts of his nature. What a fruit loop. I love 'im for it though.
