****TYYYYYYYYYYY
HotSizzle 02-20-2008, 05:11 PM pretty good for starting.
RAESAAD 02-20-2008, 05:12 PM **** that ain't bad. I was just talking to someone about this and we didn't think Kimbo made more than 50k for this fight. Glad he's making some dough.....It's not boxing money but it's alot more than the couple of G's a month he was probably pulling beating up slackers in the street.

As far as being your second fight? ITS CRUSHING BOXING MONEY... lol
Go ask what the guy who boxes whose 2-0 is making lol
Blair_Wells#32 02-20-2008, 05:14 PM yeah kimbo made quite a bit an thats pretty good, but what blew me away was not his paycheque but the dude who only got a dollar for fighting.
thats jus messed up.
i guess the UFC ain't as cheap as people think :lol1:

Oh no doubt......I didn't even really think about it like that. I read somewhere Oscar has been making 1 mil plus since his 12th pro fight.
Also just to add to what you have in your first post.....they have to pay their trainers out of their purse too I do believe.

so his trainer go what? 35 cents LOL
RAESAAD 02-20-2008, 05:20 PM so his trainer go what? 35 cents LOL
I've heard usually 10% or something.
1bad65 02-20-2008, 05:24 PM It's sad when Yves Edwards makes 6k and Kimbo and Tank get six-figures. To those comparing these payout vs boxing, look at it this way, would an ex-World Champ get paid only 6k to fight and win in boxing?
1bad65 02-20-2008, 05:25 PM I've heard usually 10% or something.
Standard for trainers is 10% of the fighters purse.
Atnan 02-20-2008, 05:25 PM im glad to see these guys got as much as they did- i also hope no one really believes the undercard fighters got 1k-6k for fights (its not true)

RAESAAD 02-20-2008, 05:28 PM Standard for trainers is 10% of the fighters purse.
Yeah thats what I thought I heard.....Thanks for the confirmation.

And how do you know this?
AndersonSilva 02-20-2008, 05:57 PM shyt you beat me to this thread. ******* lol jk. Kimbo got fukin PAIDD. edwards got ripped no bonus wtf. that was a great fukin KO. B/S. how bout the guy who got 1$ hahahaha.
1bad65 02-20-2008, 06:25 PM edwards got ripped no bonus wtf. that was a great fukin KO.
That 6k would include the bonus. Either he made 6k counting a win bonus or he got 6k period.
I want to see why Atnan says the 6k figure is not true.
AndersonSilva 02-20-2008, 06:51 PM yeah same here. you think he is Edwards manager haha
Palma 02-20-2008, 07:05 PM That is pretty good for Tank!
His beer money for at least week!
AndersonSilva 02-20-2008, 08:02 PM hahahaha nicee one^
Atnan 02-20-2008, 11:17 PM That 6k would include the bonus. Either he made 6k counting a win bonus or he got 6k period.

if you talk to any real fighter or someone involved in the fight game- they will tell yah- i aint gonna drysnitch
1bad65 02-20-2008, 11:36 PM if you talk to any real fighter or someone involved in the fight game- they will tell yah- i aint gonna drysnitch
Oh bull****. Don't come on here and say you know something is false then say you can't say how.
I'll say right now a guy from my gym has fought in EliteXC on the undercard. And based on what he got paid I would say 6k for Yves would be about right.
How are you involved in the fight game?
1bad65 02-21-2008, 12:35 AM Also; you do realize that ProElite, the owners of EliteXC, are a public company right? That means if they release false numbers they are committing a Federal crime.
Blair_Wells#32 02-21-2008, 12:40 AM Yves Edwards has his title shot coming up next an if he wins his payday should go up as well.
6K is pretty low 2 b paying the #1 Contender, i sure hope he got a **** load of cash from his sponsors.
1bad65 02-21-2008, 09:41 AM While I'm still waiting to hear from Atnan, I'll put this link out. The payouts are listed here:

This sentence caught my eye:
"The salaries were acquired from the Florida State Boxing Commission."
Harms 02-21-2008, 10:43 AM EliteXC was asked by a local promoter to put this fight on the card. The local promoter acted as the fight's "sponsor" and paid the fighter's real salary (amount unknown). EliteXC only had to contractually pay $1 according to commission rules.
FYI... this was reported by Sam Caplan at Pro Elite.
1bad65 02-21-2008, 11:36 AM Which fight do you refer to?
Who was this local promoter?
Keep in mind Moyses Gabin was indeed paid $1.

ProElite.com (SamCaplan.ProElite.com) contacted EliteXC officials for a comment and all indications are that Gabin's compensation was handled by an outside promoter.
"That fight was put together by a local promoter," EliteXC Head of Fighter Operations Jeremy Lappen stated in an e-mail. "Gabin is paid a salary by the promoter who sponsored that bout."
http://samcaplan.proelite.com/96905
He was paid by an outside promoter. EliteXC paid him a dollar because they had to pay him something.
1bad65 02-21-2008, 11:52 AM That's why I asked what fight. I'm sure that Gabin got other money, not just the $1.
But Atnan says Yves made more than 6k, and I want him to say how he knows that.
Savino 02-21-2008, 12:11 PM I did'nt think Kimbo and Tank would get thahat much each. More money for the fighters needed.
Gareth Ivanovic 02-21-2008, 01:23 PM Tank got a pretty good payday. No wonder he didn't seem to try hard. He just wanted that check. I wonder how much Bo Cantrel got paid for his dive job.
HotSizzle 02-21-2008, 03:24 PM Tank got a pretty good payday. No wonder he didn't seem to try hard. He just wanted that check. I wonder how much Bo Cantrel got paid for his dive job.
incu are you an incubus fan LOL (just wondering)
Gareth Ivanovic 02-21-2008, 05:19 PM incu are you an incubus fan LOL (just wondering)
Yeah actually a huge fan. IMO there the best band in the world.
HotSizzle 02-21-2008, 11:43 PM Yeah actually a huge fan. IMO there the best band in the world.
Yea me too but I was kinda disappointed with there last album I wasn't feeling it like there previous ones, the only songs I like from it was ana molly and love hurts.
Atnan 02-21-2008, 11:46 PM your a clown dude- iam not going to dry snitch- another example, you think dana didnt give wand. or/and chuck an additional bonus after the fight? lol your a fool if you put down everything in the books- imho, everyone should take 1-3 bussiness courses at a local college/community college so see how things run
Blair_Wells#32 02-21-2008, 11:51 PM i have no clue how stuff work backstage at fights.
the only bonuses i'm aware of with the ufc is the KO of the night, fight of the night, sub of the night and if your a big enough star u get a piece of the gate or PPV Buys.
1bad65 02-21-2008, 11:54 PM I still say you are full of ****. If you come on a board and make claims and then refuse to back them up when asked, it reeks of bull****.
"your a fool if you put down everything in the books"
Your a fool if you dont! You have heard of Enron and Tyco right? It's pretty popular right now to put guys in prison for not putting correct info in the books.
And you can answer how you are involved in the fight game without 'snitching'. So answer that question.
1bad65 02-21-2008, 11:57 PM If Dana HIMSELF gives a bonus, it's ok. But those numbers released were what the COMPANY (EliteXC) told the Florida State Boxing Commission that they paid the fighters.
1bad65 02-22-2008, 12:00 AM i have no clue how stuff work backstage at fights.
I do. I've been backstage at quite a few events. I've seen EXACTLY what goes on and how the fighters get paid.
Atnan 02-22-2008, 12:04 AM I still say you are full of ****. If you come on a board and make claims and then refuse to back them up when asked, it reeks of bull****.

you say what you want- the proof is in the pudding!
btw enron failed because what the bosses did was to sell their own company stock while preventing most employees from selling theirs- with tyco, they couldnt handle the cuts in sales and kept apply bandaids to their losses instead of fixing the problems - along with the ceo`s being greddy!
get a true education-
1bad65 02-22-2008, 12:29 AM You've provided no proof! Or even pudding. :)
And Enron did cook the books to keep the stock price rising.
And Tyco paid their high-ups money that they did not report on their financial statements that are given BY LAW to their shareholders.
AGAIN, how are you involved in the fight game?
1bad65 02-22-2008, 12:33 AM I'll put this way because we may be misunderstanding each other ok.
The figures released said Yves Edwards was paid $6,000 by EliteXC. You say that is wrong, that he got paid more. Now he MAY have got money from sponsors, fans, other promoters, businesses, etc. But EliteXC only paid him $6,000.
Is that correct that EliteXC did pay him $6,000?
I like how MMA has to release salary info, I think boxing should do the same, they say how some are paid but not all
O btw 1bad65, Renzo's a pretty bad dude, although I think Rickson is the best Gracie
