DM is supposed to be fighting Fabrice Tiozzo for the WBA belt 02-26-05. If he beats Tiozzo who jones never beat then fights the winner of Tarver vs. Johnson and wins is his legacy greater than jones?

View Full Version : Dariusz Michalczewski "DM" is back INFAMOUZ 10-26-2004, 05:17 PM DM is supposed to be fighting Fabrice Tiozzo for the WBA belt 02-26-05. Sir_Jose 10-26-2004, 05:23 PM DM was about as washed up as it gets at the end why would he come back Great 10-26-2004, 05:41 PM Chances at it are, but DM very not entertainment boxer. At least I myself have hardly forced to look his 3 fights and it has sufficed me for ever. Neuraxis 10-26-2004, 05:44 PM DM is washed up, maybe not as much as RJJ, but he is still finished. Great 10-26-2004, 05:49 PM I would be pleased, if he has finished as soon as possible:) Soundtraveler 10-27-2004, 04:03 AM Hmmm, to say DM "is back" would imply that he was once the man in his division, I fail to see when THAT ever happened, as he refused to fight anywhere that he didn''t have a home court advantage.... Actually he agreed to fight Jones in America, but turned it down when Jones demanded a 70/30 split. He was the linear champ, not Jones. jabsRstiff 10-27-2004, 01:59 PM Actually he agreed to fight Jones in America, but turned it down when Jones demanded a 70/30 split. He was the linear champ, not Jones. But Jones was the SUPERSTAR. Hopkins was the middleweight champ, but Oscar got 30 mil to Hops' 10 mil. Neuraxis 10-27-2004, 02:11 PM But Jones was the SUPERSTAR. Hopkins was the middleweight champ, but Oscar got 30 mil to Hops' 10 mil. Hopkins didn't have anywhere near as much to risk by fighting DLH as DM had by fighting RJJ. It would have been impossible for DM to have won by decision, yet it would have been possible for DLH. The only way DM could have won would have been by KO. jack_the_rippuh 10-27-2004, 05:10 PM You're crazy to say Hopkins didn't have as much as a risk fighting DLH as Michalczewski had fighting Roy Jones Jr. Hopkins career would have been over if he would have loss to De La Hoya. Neuraxis 10-27-2004, 05:16 PM You missed the whole thing about decision wins. dansweeney 10-27-2004, 05:20 PM you really think that if dm fought rjj years ago a decision would have even been necessary, rjj would have ktfo dm easily, forget his last to kayo losses, think of rjj a few years back Neuraxis 10-27-2004, 05:23 PM you really think that if dm fought rjj years ago a decision would have even been necessary, rjj would have ktfo dm easily, forget his last to kayo losses, think of rjj a few years back How would that have happened? DM has never been KO'd. RJJ's power at LHW was not that great. There was only two outcomes for the fight, DM KO's RJJ or RJJ wins by decision. Soundtraveler 10-27-2004, 05:24 PM If you can show me a time when DM ever agreed to fight in America against Jones, I will be suprised. As for being the so called linear champ, I believe the guy who holds all the major belts is the champ and anything else means squat. If you don't have the belts you don't get the money, it's as simple as that. DM never wanted any of Jones in his prime, and couldn't have made it through 6 against him. DM had his hands full with guys that Jones destroyed which is just the simple fact of the matter... He beat Hill for the WBA and IBF belts, and he should have won the WBC belt when he beat Rocchigiani. Its DM's fault that the sanctioning bodies are corrupt. I would post the link talking about the different LHW belts, but I am pretty sure Reeno will just delete it again. Who did he struggle with? Where were you guys when this thread was around? http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=402 leff 10-27-2004, 05:34 PM Cant wait DM is great,1 close loss in what 50 fights. I dont realy think he lost. |
