View Full Version : Have Liverpool Applied For The Intertoto ?, Serious Question Chunk 02-16-2008, 09:04 PM Does anyone know if Liverpool have joined Villa in applying to enter Europe through the back door ? -CANE- 02-17-2008, 05:57 AM Does anyone know if Liverpool have joined Villa in applying to enter Europe through the back door ? They should keep there options open as should Spurs. What if Rafa goes who they gonna get as manager. Maybe Jol is a possibility? P.S. You recovered from the disapointment of the Superbowl yet. MickyHatton 02-17-2008, 07:08 AM Lets not get carried away, its bad guys, just not that bad. We are fifth with a game in hand, trust me we wont need the Intertoto. col Blake 02-17-2008, 09:08 AM has it come to this, Everton better than Liverpool, even when Liverpool spend 45 million on transferes. Good Bye Rafa we hardly new ye. Chunk 02-17-2008, 11:22 AM They should keep there options open as should Spurs. What if Rafa goes who they gonna get as manager. Maybe Jol is a possibility? P.S. Also that's what makes their achievment all the more remarkable as they were called a team of nobodies, not like the Niners or the Bears who oozed class right the way through the team. 72 Dolphins also lost their QB for a lot of the season yet still went all the way unbeaten and won the superbowl. Had the pats won I still say as an achievment the Dolphins would have been better because the pats are such an incredible team and have talent right the way through and were expected to go unbeaten even at the early stages of the season, nobody expected the Dolphins to do it. I don't see Liverpool getting past Inter, what do you think?. Liverpool are just boring these days, i wish they would get a couple of flair players in to liven things up. I think Everton could make it very interesting, but i think Liverpool will hang on for 4th. fasman 02-17-2008, 05:17 PM nah, we'll probably end up 4th in the league with ease..... might even go on a wonder run in the champions league..... We have nothing to lose, we are out of all the cups and dont have the slightest of chances in the league, so we should play against Inter with freedom.... It will be very difficult to get past Inter although we are a very strong CL team (two finals in the last three years). I agree we have become boring of late, before Christmas we were scoring as many goals as Man U and Arsenal, since Christmas we have fell apart. I dont see Rafa being at Anfield next season, even if we win the CL. The club is in turmoil, buy outs, proposed sackings, arguments at board level, refunding etc etc have dominated the back pages since November. This has played a huge part in our drop in form, prior to this we were unbeaten and within 6 points of the leaders with games in hand, now......... Inter have been head and shoulders above everyone in Serie A though this year, they are on fire. I think Liverpool will park the bus to a certain extent and just go with one up top. I think Liverpool are lacking a bit of width at the back. You need a couple of players like Evra or Clichy, or even an Ashley Cole. I'm not sure Steve Finnan quite cuts it at the top. I think your right, Riise has not played well all season, Finnan is dependable but workmanlike. We need three or four top players to even be in with a shot domestically next time out. |
