We need some more MMA discussion. I'm going to try to help support that forum more from now on, but it needs many more posters to make it a strong forum.

I also think for this board to attract more viewers that an attacive MMA board is a must. MMA is what newbies are coming here for in the most part.

i don't think it's a big deal. i wouldn't get too racked up over the fact that the mma has less topics/posts than ot. it's all pretty simple:

in mma you can discuss mma only
in ot you can discuss anything

now what do you think is going to have more conversing?

why are we so pent up on trying to have an mma forum like sherdogs? sherdog is in the top 800 of most frequented websites in the WORLD. it's been around long and promoted everywhere as an mma site.
what happens is that 100s of people go there, register, and say the same **** over and over in the mma forums. if it's not the same **** then it's extremely uneducated ****.

now i've seen, and occassionally posted in our mma forum. everybody has excellent feedback and we pretty much cover the gist of what there is to cover in mma according current events and news.
i think we're doing just fine. if a newbie stumbles into the mma boards then they'll have plenty of **** to discuss.

and as dave mentioned, there will be a lot more promo in the future for our mma portions.

I agree with you Purity, especially about Sherdog's MMA forum basically rehashing things over and over. That is not what I mean at all. It just seems dead in there most of the time unless an event is airing or within a few days or so. We have enough regular members in Ot that if everyone tried to frequent that board some it could thrive without becoming redundent.
