i forget the guy, i dont think he comes around anymore but the video was of the russian soilder. its a close up of a soilder getting stabbed in the neck with a big ass knife, you can see the knife go through his adams apple and blood gush out. the look on his face is the worst part to me.

I am familiar with the website that is linked and they also have vidoes of torture stuff that went on in Iraq while Saddam was in power. People getting their toungues cut out, their hands cut off , beheadings, **** like that.

Point taken. But these people are aware of the ways these videos get passed around the world and you could argue that they would not be half as despicable if the technology didn't exist for everyone to see them. They're attention seekers. There's a reason all these people have websites.

I'm not anti-technology by any stretch of the imagination. It's just that these people understand how the sick underside of humanity uses this technology.

hey, you've seen it to. man the look on that guys face use to haunt me. although i often wondered if it was actualy real, sometimes it seems fake, like they purposely tried to make it look scary. still a crazy video though

You could argue that these videos are the decendants of the public displays of brutality you mentioned, sure. That's really why I'm not anti-technology...people would be like this no matter what.

As for why people want to see this stuff, you can make the usual arguments about our sick society and you would be right, at least partially. But despite my general dislike of people I try to give them the benefit of the doubt with this stuff. People, for whatever reason, have a need to see pain and suffering. Maybe because it's like confronting our worst fears. Deep down we all worry about something horrible happening to us or people we care about, and somehow seeing the real thing can diminish the fantasies in our minds. I can't really explain why that is, but it seems to be true.

At any rate, pretending that this stuff doesn't happen is just as bad as watching it, IMHO. People are going to do terrible things no matter how much we watch and police them.

Its not a horror. Its really a art film...i guess.

I had that movie in my hard drive sometime ago, got rid of it now. Agree, the rape scene was brutal. I don't like the sick feeling I get after seeing women raped even just in the movies. Same **** with the rape scene of Jodie Foster in "The Accused", although less brutal.

it was one of the first ones. you cant see anyone's nationality or face cause of the masks, and as the cut the guys head off it goes out of the camera view, then they hold it up at the end and it does'nt look to much like a human head. it could be real, just seemed a little suspicious to me.

And then people said, "well he was drugged." Well if he was drugged and his throat was being slit, then someone pumped in some audio of him supposedly screaming. There seemed to be very little blood for a beheading, too, with the only "dripping" coming from the bottom of the head after it had already been cut off. A number of doctors had called the tape a fraud.
