My favorite story is about Pacman, which I have read in this forum (so I don't know whether it's true). Allegedly Pacman had put on wrong sox and that prevented him from KOing JMM.

What are your favorite excuse stories?

Mine has to be the Wlad-Brewster excuse. He actually tried to launch an FBI investigation, how unprofessiaonal is that.

The Tyson fans always have a good excuse.

"He was drugged", "He didn't train", "He THREW the fight"...

I thought the Wlaseline/Brewster stories and Pac story was funny. There were always conspiracy theories surrounding Ali/Liston and Ali/Foreman.

My favorite was the Wlad v. Byrd excuse. Byrd got pounded on for 12 rounds, KD twice, and he says his eyes were swollen because Wlad had poison on his gloves and not from the tremendous beating he received.

I like how Wlad was given a poison in the dressing room....that didn't kick in until the 4th round of his fight with Brewster.

I'm sure the guys who did the poisoning were ****ting in their pants as Wlad pounded away, with no apparent ill-effects, on Brewtser.
they should count their lucky, poisonin' stars that Brewster was durable !

While I don't think that he was poisoned you could that he was exhausted before the 4th round.

I think rational or irrational are more appropriate words. I do not think they have launched the FBI investigation on the grounds of having just a "feeling" that something had gone wrong. That would have been irrational. The missing probes and abnormal blood tests justify their actions.

Vinny Paz has the greatest excuse of all time.

After he got owned by Roy Jones, he said the reason he lost every round and got KTFOd was because "I mistimed my cappucino high."

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.

Give it up. I was annoyed by Chris Turd's claim that his eyes were poisoned by Wlad's people. If they were, that's pretty easy to prove. Impound the gloves or irrigate the eyes and you can find out if there was a foreign substance. I don't buy Turd's claim one bit.

But for you to use Wlad's fatigue as an excuse for why he lost to Brewster and suggest that the vaseline was a valid excuse is even more pathetic.

The only place he needs that vaseline is his ass.

He lost to Brewster because Brewster was better, tougher and in better shape and could take a better punch. Because Brewster, even though he's a dog**** fighter, is a better fighter.

Either way I've never seen a boxer so exausted in my entire life. Just look at the difference.

Brewster: http://www.klitschko.com/gallery/index.php?lang=en&task=show&dir=fights/Wladimir/45_Lamon_Brewster&file=scena0353.jpg

Wow. Huge difference! NOT!

Wlad's problem isn't his conditioning. He appears to use up all his energy by being uptight and tense. It's all internal and mental. The more tense you are when fighting (believe it or not, I used to box before I got sidetracked) the more energy you use. IT's easy for to get tired. If he's afraid, which I think he is, that explains it.

Do you work for the Klitchskos? Really, you need to give up this PR campaign on their behalf. I hope you're at least getting paid for disgracing yourself with this jibberish

I guess when Derrick Jefferson got exhausted from beating on David Izon for 9 rounds to the point he was about to drop dead means somebody from Izon's camp drugged Jefferson or put vaseline on his legs which led to the outcome.

Exactly the same scenario happened to Jefferson. I don't hear anybody *****ing and moaning about the way he looked for that outcome.

whether your a fan or not of the Klits, as a boxing fan, you cant show me a man looking as sick as that in a ring just from exhaustion.I have never seen that, i saw the purrity fight and the brewster fight, he was exhausted against purrity, it was something odd against brewster, whether it was "poison" or the flu, it wasnt exhaustion, he threw harder and more against Mercer.

That is a good one, I just watched Barrera/Hamed again today. What a one sided beating that was.

Barrera-Hammed was a great fight...ahhahaha, poor hammed, goes flying in that fight, and i love his last comments they made me piss myself laughing ahahahha, he was tryin to maintain himself but u could see it in his eyes that he was about to cry hahaha....."great fighters lose, great fighters come bak, great fighters win" hmm, i dont know wat kind of point he was trying to prove there....but he obviously hasnt come bak yet, and i wouldnt either classify him as a great fighter

the best thing i can say about him is that he had an odd style. thats about it. Barrera made him his girlfriend

his style was odd against barreras, i must admit hammed was an ok fighter, his style was more a puzzle then anything else...barrera jus didnt let himself get too close to hammed, and i guess thats what won the fight for him...

Actually i used to like Wladimir. I always said if he had the heart and chin to match his skills, he'd kill Lennox Lewis. Then when i saw him fight Charles Shufford and Jameel McCline I backed off my beliefs. he showed tentativeness against guys who were frightened of him. He should've KO'd both inside of 5 rounds. Wladimir choked against Purrity. He choked against Sanders. What are your excuses for him getting KO'd in those fights? Sanders had Wlad out with one punch. He goes 5 or 6 with Brewster in a much more intense fight, what's so hard to believe?

Trevor berbicks was pretty bad, explaining the Tyson defeat. He blamed it on sedating medication or something.

I think Berbick claimed that Don King pumped poison gas to his hotel room the night before fight :D

everyone has some excuse or story, i mean, even primary/elementary school fites receive excuses. I have even used excuses why i lost a bout. The usual excuses are judges are biased or opponent was dirty fighter, but at least my excuses are half credible haha! some of the excuses today are incredible and beyond belief. It stumps me, why such big brutes and boxing champs alike can act like little kids.

a true champ admits he was beaten, even if he was the better fighter.
Mundine said he was beaten by a better opponent, but thought he won on pts against Siaca!!! wheres the logic in that comment! haha
