Ell 02-07-2008, 04:24 PM I'm not a big fan of weighted ropes although I have used them, I prefer to use speed ropes and just attach wrist weights. Therefore getting the weight of a weighted rope but the speed of a speed rope, the best of both worlds if you like. But weighted ropes are a good upper body exercise just that I like to use my jump rope for cardio. I hated it at first but now I only use it. Chewcan 02-09-2008, 11:40 PM I use a 1kg and 2kg rope. It's a bitch on your forearms/shoulders after any extended period. lilrip133 02-10-2008, 01:40 AM i use a 1 kg rope. for the first week i used it it completely killed me. after that it was liveable, but like someone said before, it's probably the hardest thing i do. Count Patron 02-10-2008, 10:40 PM I am pretty against weighted ropes. I turn to weights for shoulder, arm strength etc. To me the jump rope is for foot work and cardio... It's relaxing for me, it's what I do when I am stressed, etc. |
