I stole this from MMA weekly. I think this sucks, I like Sherk.

Sherk told MMAWeekly last night "It's puzzling for me. I just signed a three fight deal and was looking forward to furthering my career, now I get dropped for the first loss in my career? Doesn't make sense to me."

That's lame...He's a great figter and gave Hughes all he wanted.

Agreed. Sherk is one of the best welters out there IMO. I was looking forward to seeing him fight again.

I think it's was cause he looked and fought like Huges...It was probably a marketing thing which really sucks if it was.

It's funny but I like Sherk more than Hughes, don't know why, I just do.

THIS IS ****ED...maybe they think he would dominate and just didnt want the two wrestlers in the same promotion...First they jipp him by standing the fight up to early twice...now this

Great job by the UFC, like always. Keep up the good work ie getting rid of your good fighters.

dana white said on the underground that it is not because of his fight but because of some behind the scenes stuff that he won't talk about on a public forum.

I think they just want to preserve Matt Hughes and promote the hell out of him. He's been the only constant as of late, and if the UFC wants a wider fan base--they need a steady champion. If Sherk stays---he'll eventually beat Hughes and then lose to the next guy, and then the game of "hot potato" with the belts will start and no "new fans" will get to know anyone.
Or ... Sherk ****ed it up for himself by pissing on Dana's shoe.:ghost:

They shoulda kept him around and moved him up to MW

He couldn't beat Hughes last time and he wouldn't beat him next time if there ever was a next time.

you must have not watched his performance against Hughes at the last UFC. Sherk = ****ing warrior. He is the only person to go the distance with Hughes as of late. If he studied Hughes and learned from his loss... he would become victorious over him. just my opinion.

I agree with Haru and Dogg on this one.
