The end discussion between Neo and the Architect was pretty confusing, so I typed it up from a bootleg I have. If you haven't seen Reloaded, DO NOT CONTINUE. Enjoy you silly *****es...

ARCHITECT: Hello Neo

NEO: Who are you

ARCHITECT: I am the architect. I created the Matrix. I've been waiting for you. You have many questions and although the process has altered your consciousness you remain irrevocably human. Ergo some of my answers you will understand, and some of them you will not. Concurrently while your first question may be the most pertinent, you may or may not realize it is also the most irrelevant.

NEO: Why am I here

ARCHITECT: Your life is the sum of a remainder of an unbalanced equation inherent to the programming of the matrix. You are the eventuality of an anomaly which despite my sincerest efforts I have been unable to eliminate from what is otherwise a harmony of mathematical precision. While it remains a burden assiduously avoided, it is not unexpected and thus not beyond a measure of control. Which has led you, inexorably(Not capable of being persuaded by entreaty; relentless)... here.

NEO: You haven't answered my question

ARCHITECT: Quite right. Interesting. That was quicker than the others.

(Multiple screens of Neo talking in background)

The matrix is older than you know. I prefer counting from the emergence of one integral anomaly to the emergence of the next, in which case this is the 6th version.

[Multiple neo's talking]

NEO: There are only two possible explanations. Either no one told me, or no one knows.

ARCHITECT: Precisely. As you are undoubtedly gathering the anomaly is systemic. Creating fluctuations in even the most simplistic equations.

[Multiple neo's talking]

NEO: Choice. The problem is choice.

ARCHITECT: The first matrix I designed was quite naturally perfect, it was a work of art. Flawless. Sublime. And triumphed equal only by it's monumental failure. The inevitability of it's doom is apparent to me now as a consequence of the imperfection inherent in every human being. Thus I redesigned it. Based on your history. To more accurately reflect the varying grotesqueries of your nature. However, I was again frustrated by failure. I have since come to understand that the answer eluded me because it required a lesser mind. Or perhaps, a mind less bound by the parameters of perfection. Thus the answer was stumbled upon by another. An intuitive program. Initially created to investigate certain aspects of the human psyche. If I am the father of the matrix, she would undoubtedly be it's mother.

NEO: The oracle

ARCHITECT: Please. As I was saying she stumbled upon a solution where by nearly %99 of all test subjects accepted the program as long as they were given a choice. Even if they were only aware of the choice at a near unconscious level. While this answer functioned it was obviously fundamentally flawed, thus creating the otherwise contradictory, systemic anomaly. That if left unchecked might threaten the system itself. Ergo those who refused the program, while a minority, if unchecked would constitute an escalating probability of disaster.

NEO: This is about Zion

ARCHITECT: You are here because Zion is about to be destroyed. It's every living inhabitant terminated. It's entire existence eradicated.

(Neos onscreen react with anger)

ARCHITECT: Denial is the most predictable of all human responses. But rest assured, this will be the 6th time we have destroyed it. And we have become exceedingly efficient at it.

[more trinity fight scene]

ARCHITECT: The function of 'the one' is now to return the source allowing a temporary dissemination(diffusion for propagation and permanence; a scattering or spreading abroad, as of ideas, beliefs, etc.) of the code you carry re-inserting the prime program. After which you will be required to select from the matrix 23 individuals. Sixteen female, seven male to rebuild Zion. Failure to comply with this process will result in a cataclysmic system crash killing everyone connected to the matrix. Which coupled with the extermination of Zion will ultimately result in the extinction of the entire human race

NEO: You won't let it happen, you can't. You need human beings to survive

ARCHITECT: There are levels of survival we are prepared to accept. However the relevant issue is whether or not you are ready to accept the responsibility for the death of every human being in this world. It is interesting reading your reactions. Your five predecessors were by design based on a similar predication, a contingent affirmation (contingent affirmation = possible to be true. Check dictionary.com ) that was meant to create a profound attachment to the rest of your species facilitating the function of 'the one'. While the others experienced this in a very general way, your experience is far more specific. (?) Love.

NEO: Trinity

ARCHITECT: (?) She entered the matrix to save your life at the cost of her own.

NEO: No...

ARCHITECT: Which brings us at last to the moment of truth wherein the fundamental flaw is ultimately expressed and the anomaly revealed as both beginning and end. There are two doors. The door to your right leads to the source and the salvation of Zion. The door to your left leads to back to the matrix, to her and to the end of your species. As you adequately put, the problem is choice. But we already know what you are going to do don't we. Already I can see the chain reaction. The chemical precursors(indications) that signal the onset of an emotion. Designed specifically to overwhelm logic and reason. An emotion that is already blinding you from the simple and obvious truth; she is going to die and there is nothing you can do to stop it.

[Neo walks to door on his left]

ARCHITECT: Hope. It is the quintessential(the most typical) human delusion simultaneously the source of your greatest strength and your greatest weakness.

NEO: If I were you, I would hope that we don't meet again.

ARCHITECT: We won't.

This whole scene was AWESOME.

The guy who played The Architect - who was he??

I SWEAR he did the voice of The Puppet Master/ aka. Project 2501 in Ghost In The Shell!!!!!

That WHOLE scene with Neo just reminded me of that scene where the Puppet Master explains to Section 9 how he came to be.

Seraph kicked major ass in reloaded, and from what Ive seen in Revolution's trailer, he has a much bigger role. Seraph is played by Collin Chou.http://www.iespana.es/matrix2/mcast9.jpg O, and Jake when I find the actor who played the Architect I will post it.

He on the good side. He's the oracle's bodyguard. In the revolution's trailor, he looks pretty pimp.

I think they seriously bought Neo's power down a few notches in the Matrix in this film. It kinda pissed me off.

But the thing is, its all a controlled environment. The oracle is a program designed to direct Neo to a predetermined path, so that The Matrix can be reloaded(reset) for the sixth time. Seraph doesn't have a logical conscious to make such decisions and is programmed to do what ever the Architect wants him to do. And for Blake...how the hell has Neo's powers donwgraded? He now flys at sonic speed and posses the ability to stop sentinels.

neo gathered partial machine coding from when Smith attempted to clone him, thus posessing the ability to interfere with their electronic signals(but it drains him b/c, well he's still partial human)....explaining why he goes into a coma in the end

Just logical theory.

Ok - well before Neo could wipe away Agents with the bat of his hand. Now he engages them in hand to hand?? WTF?

Ok, the ability to shut down Sentinels = way cool.

Now, it is obvious that Zion is IN the Matrix, because that is the only way Neo's abilites work. Now, I think he went into a coma simply because of strain. I don't think he used EMP waves at all, because he was IN the Matrix. He just saw Sentines as the Matrix itself, and made them destroy themselves, like he did to Agent Smith in the first Matrix. However, he wasn't used to emitting the type of power needed to destroy so many objects as he was using all his power, which he wasn't used to using. As a result, his body couldn't handle the strain, and went into a coma. Now, I also have a theroy that he will find a way to completely harness his power, and be able to just destroy anything he wants (ex. Neo walks into a city and decides he doesn't like it, he holds up his hand and the entire city blows up around him). This would be how he can finally defeat the Matrix, by using all his power. I also think he will die from the total strain, but so will the Matrix, or Neo himself will ACTUALLY be the Matrix. That would be cool

Heres another theory

The Matrix is currently in it's sixth version. A new matrix is started when a status anomaly (read: The One) reaches the core and chooses to save Zion and restart the Matrix. The status anomaly is unable to be controlled by the machines, so there is no way to fix this problem. But, if The One is to refuse to save Zion and "destroy" the Matrix, the machines will loose.

But, hope is mankind's strongest and weakest emotion, hence the Architect is using The One's hope to save Zion in his proposition. If The One chooses to take the door leading to the repopulation of Zion, the Architect wins. He will start to fashion a new Matrix, and all machines will go on living.

The Architect says that if The One chooses the other door, the Matrix will be destroyed and everyone hooked up to the Matrix will die, thus wiping out most of mankind (all of mankind if Zion falls). But, this would leave to the eventual destruction of all machines, as well. But, the Architect says the machines are prepared for this.

The One usually chooses a few deaths instead of all of mankind, so he chooses to save Zion. But, Neo chooses to save Trinity, taking the door no other Chosen One has taken. Neo's hope that he can save Trinity is his greatest strength. He did what the others couldn't do, choosing the door to destroy the Matrix and mankind. The destruction of the Matrix will come at the hands of Neo.

With other Chosen Ones, the Architect tried using mankind's greatest weakness against them, their Hope to save mankind. The Architect is using this scare tactic against the others, hoping he would scare them into not destroying the Matrix. But, Neo chose to destroy the Matrix, thus the Architect's "trickery" did not work on Neo.

A bit long, and perhaps confusing, but post replies or questions of you have any.

What if the "real"world is still the matrix. What if no matter what Neo does, it was planned and is inevitable from occuring?

No.The Walchowki Brothers made this a trilogy and thats that.No more. They will be releasing an mulitiplayer game on PC soon and you can buy the Animatrix on DVD and read some original Matrix comics on the official website.

The Matrix is a computer system that symbolically represents Satan. It deludes the world into believing a lie that they are in control of their own destiny, when actually the world has already been condemned to the bottomless pit of Hell as a Duracell Battery. The defenders of truth, the resistance force, hacks into the Matrix by telephone. Their bodies are separated from their minds and, through the modem, are mentally inserted into the computer system. Their goal is to reveal the truth and unplug individuals, while in search of "The One "(Messiah). By shifting the letter O in the word ONE behind the letter E, the Wachowskis create Keanu Reeves character Neo. Neo as "The One", has the ability to free the world by defeating the Matrix for the truth and the keys of life. This is the embodiment of Christianity. The original sin committed by Adam and Eve (Gen.3: 13) has already condemned the world (Rom.5: 12-19) and allows Satan's lies to rule the earth. (Rev.12: 9, Zech. 3:1&2, Job 1:6, 2:1) The world can only be freed by faith (John 3:15-18), believing that Jesus Christ died for their sin (Hebrew 10:10-12, Rev. 1:5, Ish. 53), defeated Satan for the keys of death, and the reward for all who believe is eternal life. (John 5: 24, Rom.5: 21, Rev.1: 18, 2:10)
