Maybe not techinically that great but should be exciting enough. Oh.. I thought that was next year. It will be worth watching to see Williams get beaten by Vitali. Dr Cynical 09-22-2004, 06:54 AM The smart money says that, though the smart money also swent for tyson last time. dont write danny off even though he is a huge underdog. Heard dec 11th being touted in NY. Tyson and Vitali are two incredibly different fighters. Tyson is old, not mentally there, relies on fading strength and is just doing this for debts. I think Vitali will hand Williams a sound beating. If you want we could make a bet using boxingscene points. J ! 09-22-2004, 07:02 AM Im not tipping Danny, sure if you like just for fun, I havent actually had time to work out all these karma points and stuff like that, Im active on a few sites so flick between the two but seems a good idea. I dont discard that but Vitali doesnt like fighting on the indside, and williams can be strong there, he is also very upright sometimes a bit ponderous and too brave for his own good. He is no ali. If Danny can get inside that long reach he can ruffle Vitali, something else is Williams is a proven 12 round fighter (and his trainer is the THE BEST physical trainer in Britain in my view - Jim Mcdonnell) Vitali isnt in my view sometimes his stamina has been questionable at best. So the skills are undoutedly with Vitali no question, but if it goes into the latter rounds again it could be interesting. Let me give you an insight into the way Danny has lived his boxing career, mainly small halls like the York hall, training at a local gym, then home. The first time he took it serious away from the family, proper training camp, you know focus he came up with the goods, he has decent handspeed and while labelled a journeyman, thats cos sometimes his training has been condusive toward that. This wont happen now, theres a lot of imponderables about this fight to make totally clear cut in my view. Its vitali early or williams late in my analysis! hows that for fence sitting :D neils7147933 09-22-2004, 11:38 AM Morales-Barrera 3 is still to come. Mosley-Wright 2 has a chance to be good, if it's not a blowout like the first. Judah-Spinks 2 is rumored to be working for December date. So, no. There'll still be some good ones. QueenCity 09-22-2004, 12:04 PM Sharmba Mitchell vs Kostya Tszyu is also slated for this year, I'm looking forward to that one. jack_the_rippuh 09-22-2004, 01:24 PM When is the earliest we can see Mayweather in action? neils7147933 09-22-2004, 01:52 PM When is the earliest we can see Mayweather in action? Do you know his home address? I understand wife beating is one of his hobbies. Its vitali early or williams late in my analysis! hows that for fence sitting :D Your theory would be nice if it had ever happened before. No one has ever fought Vitali on the inside, so I wouldn't expect someone like Williams to be the one who breaks this chain. Something tells me that you are confusing the two Klitschkos. Vitali has never had any trouble at all with his stamina. I'd expect Williams to go down somewhat like his fellow countryman Herbie Hide did. Also I thought he was labeled a journeyman because he lost to Sprott, Sam, and Francis, but I could be wrong. .::|ULTIMATE|::. 09-22-2004, 04:04 PM Morales vs Barrera November 27th. GranTorino 09-22-2004, 04:30 PM Man, you'd have to be out of your mind to think that this year is over for big fights. If anything the best fights are coming up still. For example: Toney fights tomorrow night, then Wlad fights a week later, then Golota fights Ruiz a month after that, Tyson also says he will fight again in November or December, Also Byrd is fighting again this year, I think, and Vitali is fighting Danny Williams as well in December. This is just the heavyweight division, Im sure the other divisions are gonna have good fights as well. The Fix 09-22-2004, 09:46 PM Saturday 13th November 2004 Chris Byrd vs Jameel McCline- byrds reighn as champ ends john ruiz vs andrew golota- ruiz proves he is top a 2-3 heavy hasim rahman vs kali meehan- rahman proves brewster is a joke Saturday 06th November 2004 Kostya Tszyu vs shambra mitchell- mitchell whoops tszyu Saturday 27th November 2004 mab vs morales- i got morales on close desicion J ! 09-23-2004, 05:15 AM hi Neuraxois, point taken though lewis was getting through in the latter part of his fight on the inside mate, so not strictly true. Im not saying williams will, Im saying its his only chance, I disagree with the stamina question, and I know my boxing far better than to confuse the two fighters but no offence taken!!. I still think there is question of stamina when someone has only been the distance once. Agreed he has had a lot of late tko's in the 10/11th rounds but Im still not convinced. Though I could be doing Vitali a disservice. Depends if Danny lets him fight at his pace. Danny has a much better chin than that idiot hide, who was nver particularly good anyway. Danny as I stated has only just started training properly, and this will make for a marked imrpovemment, he has had well documented mental problems that I believe stemmed from the night he dislocated his shoulder 4 times against potter (and still won). He seems to have overcome these, he shoiuld have won against sprott, fouight a dull fight against a seasoned pro in Francis, the Sinal Sam fight was by far the worst defeat. He mentally capitulated in the ring, for reasons I cant start to to understand, however this is not the same williams. (settled trainer, not being the favourite, improved training techniques and confidence). Like I say no one in their right mind is gonna be backing danny, Im trying to examine ways he maybe able to beat Vitali, its not a big a foregone conculsion as everyone makes out though. Danny has a good skills / handspeed, a decent chin and can whack. guess we will find out but I dont think it will be 1-2 blow out. BIGPOPPAPUMP 02-06-2005, 06:32 PM best fight in recent years why are you spamming the boards with nonsense. the admins will ban you before you reach any downloads. |
