Thailand's Fahsan 3-K Battery seems to have the inside track on a December 4 tuneup fight for Manny Pacquiao. Gairy St. Clair was originally slated to face Pacquiao on December 4 in Manila, Philippines, but Pacquiao's handlers preferred to pit Manny against another banger, as opposed to a slick boxer like St. Clair. Pacquiao is already scheduled to face WBA/IBF featherweight titlist Juan Manuel Marquez on February 26 in Las Vegas in an attempt to avenge their controversial draw earlier this year. Meanwhile, St. Clair's management was quick to issue a statement claiming Pacquiao is scared to fight St. Clair.

Not to be mistaken for Yodsanan 3k Battery the WBA 130 lb champ.

lol I had a feeling this would happen. We'll see vintage Pac beating on a thai warrior. But wait, I don't even know i fteh fight will be diffused in North America.

If Pac was facing the 130lb. champion, 3K battery...he'd have a good shot at losing.
That 3K is a really damn good fighter. Strong as hell at 130.

Pacquiao is fighting a ringworn, smaller fighter with little punching power. You might remember him as the guy Art Simonyan made look like a little child on ESPN earlier this year.

I ain't too worried. He's faced fighters bigger, stronger, faster specially against these thais. At 130 is adifferent ball game I admit though. We'll see how he fares soon enough.

guy fought MAB, battled JMM to get to Morales, now honestly, tell me, why the **** would he duck St.Clair? It was reported that Gairy was out because he would have most likely ran given the fact that he lacked the power to trade. They wanted to put on a "show" to the public so their pitting Pac against a slugger.

I know this is a dumb question but i am asking it anyway.. is this the same guy who knocked him out for that flyweight crown, i remember it to be a 3K Battery, too!

3K Battery to my understanding is a prestigious gym in Thailand. Thai fighters would use the name of their gym as a moniker.

It was Medgoen Singsurat who beat Pacquiao. I don't know what's going on with Yodsanan 3KBattery, maybe he gets paid more than enough to defend against lower-tier fighters back home in Thailand.

Pac is fighting Fahsan 3K Battery. I believe he's a different 3K Battery than Yodsanan...

The number of times MannyPac fought what was supposed to be "easy" ones he got knocked down. he should finish the guy in the 1st rd before he receives a Sunday punch. These Thai boxers are well-trained and strong. can't be too cautious when fighting them...

Blame stupid Murad, Pacman's promoter. He is into some kind of a series of debacles lately.

Medgeon 3K Battery Singsurat was the guy who TKO'd him, different from the WBA superfeatherweight champ Yodsanan 3K Battery Nanthachai...3K Battery is a Thai company that manufactures and sells car batteries. It is Thai custom to "wai" or honor their sponsors...they "wai" by using their sponsor's name.

Krating daeng gym = Red (Daeng) Bull (Krating)...yeah! that famous energy drink from Thailand! ;)

BTW, after Yodsanan Nanthachai successfully defended his WBA belt against "the Mongoose" Forbes...3K car batteries were selling like hotcakes in Thailand. :D

I'd like to see Yodsanan fight Morales too bandito! :) It's gonna be one hell of a slugfest, hey, saw the Lavka Sim (the former WBA lightweight champ) vs. Yodsanan fight...non-stop action! both fighters trying to decapitate each other, get a tape of that fight ;)

BTW, i like that booty! ...but i got the slimmest waist. LOL :D

Fahsan should give Pac a tough work-out...sparring as you must ;) but he should stay away from Yodsanan...really

You are correct, that Fahsan would be a good sparring match for Pac and for now should stay away from Yodsanan, but if ever Manny will face and beat Erick Morales, and he elects to stay at superfeather, the next best fight is with Yodsanan....

Manny also started as a nobody in the US and just after four fights he got and landed a defining fight with Barerra and is now earning big bucks, Yodsanan needs a defining fight to prove his real worth, maybe againts Erick Morales, I think Yodsanan must have couple more fights in the US for him to have a shot with EM but time is clicking and EM wants to climb to 135.....

These are just wishfull thinking, I love to see the great Asian fighters to have more exposure on the world stage and get the recognition they deserve.....

Pac arrived in the US with a bang! Yodsanan with a big yawn ;) that's the difference...anyway, he should impress the blood thirsty US boxing fans in his next fight, otherwise he'll just be a boxing billboard ad for 3K batteries ;)

Watch out for Pongsaklek...i'm hearing that he'll be campaigning in the US soon...after his mandatory title defense in Japan, he'll be fighting Brian Viloria...then Parra. now that's interesting ;)

The Hawaiian Punch is a good technical fighter too, but Pongsaklek Wonjongkham is the better all-around fighter with power and championship fight experience...PW by TKO if BV opts to fight or UD he'll survive by moving and boxing.

Pongsaklek wins. Peace. :)

If Pongsalek pass the Viloria Test, I know that he will be going places, but until that happens, I have to go for Hawaian Punch by KO, peace bro...

Brian Viloria is not a "test" for Pongsaklek...BV is untested yet. He fought the Keb Bass brothers, yes by TKO wins, but who are they? Pongsaklek destroyed Tunacao, Naito, Jair Jimenez & Aussie prospect Hussein Hussein. Pongsaklek will be the Hawaiian Punch's 1st acid test...

Muay Thai, the test that I am refering to is the fight on US soil, Viloria has fought mainly in Hawaii, and Pongsaklek i guess mainly in Thailand & Asia...

now that you have mentioned that Pongsaklek will be Villoria's 1st acid test, I am now assuming the there bout will be a test for both fighters to break in mainstream boxing in the US, who ever wins will get more attention and maybe bag a few big money fights in the US....

and I am still rooting for BV by KO, until proven otherwise....

10-28-2004, 05:13 AM
I think BV is coming over to Thailand to challenge PW, unless they can land in an undercard of a major boxing event in the US. Just like what happened to Yodsanan's title defense underneath Corrales-Freitas.

We can agree to disagree bro, i respect your opinion...but I think Pongsaklek kicks Viloria's ass. ;)

Peace. :)
