I'm happy for you lads I really am, but without trying to put a dampner on things I wonder whether he can achieve the dizzy heights of last time. I seriously doubt it, football has moved on so much since he was in the game and the premiership is so much more competitive and it's virtually impossible to break into the top4.

I hope I'm wrong and he does a great job for you, but a great job would be getting into uefa and competing with the likes of Man City, A.Villa, Everton, Portsmouth, Blackburn and Tottenham.

If he's given the money I think he'll work wonders. I reacon he needed a break from the game as you could tell he seemed disenchanted and slightly troubled at the end of his reign at man city, hopefully his heads straight and can make your club a decent force again.

The main thing would be to have a good thing going with the RB/LB with the RW/LW players.

I don't see us getting that with the defenders with have there now, Carr is a good choice for that specific job, but he sucks at defending. We also need a new LB for two reasons, he's too young/not good enough and I don't see him bonding with Duff.

Does anyone else think Owen sucks? I've been saying it for a while now, he just doesn't play well for Newcastle we need to get rid of him. Maybe a swap with Liverpool for Babel. :D

yep, but I would like to see Enrique given a chance he looks like a footballing left back like John Beresford, right back is a problem, Steven Carr is just ****e always injured and when he plays its shocking to watch, not that many good right backs out there, Taylor and Faye might be good and Peter Ramage will be back next season, Cacapa blows hot and cold, Rozehnal is a bit like Darren Pea**** great footballer but sometimes gets caught out when he should be blasting the ball out the ground.

No one is going to pay much for Owen unless he has a real good run this spring. He's captain today and if he can get 8-10 goals in the next few months then maybe someone will consider it.

Ameobi is playing upfront with Owen! I always thought he was a good strong striker. He was especially good in the intertoto cup.

Bringing Keegan back wasn't great. The guy wilted in the face of decently organised teams. The PL is full of them now and they'll turn Newcastle over.

That said, I think Newcastle are so far off being a top 6 team that it would be a huge challenge for anyone. they need almost a whole new team. 60m won't be enough!

The Bolton game ended 0-0, but we had all the possession and the ref was bent, we had like 4 penalties applies turned down, 2 of them were legit in my opinion.

Our defence was very good tonight, Taylor and Enrique were fantastic.
But our strikers were ****, no other word for them, millions of crosses and corners and no goal, Viduka is good in the air, don't know why he didn't come on?
