Steve Kim says he hears rumors about this on Maxboxing. Maybe they are true. Either way....anyone have an opinion?

I heard that the fight could be early next year. Tarver's already scheduled for a match at the end of this year, right?

I say Taver plays it a bit safe but does enough to get the decision. The judges will probably favour him anyway so I say UD Tarver. Johnson's a terrific human being but I don't see him doing enough to take this one.

They say that Tarver is scheduled to fight Briggs in December.....he may just fight Johnson instead. There would be more money in it.

This is a middleweight who couldn't make it at 160 with Hopkins running the show against a big light heavyweight. Tarver's defense, skills and size will more than likely come out on top against Johnson. I think Johnson makes it tough while it last but Tarver will eventually take him out.

Good fight...but it's not PPV material.

Lets not forget that Eric Harding wasn't a big puncher but still beat Tarver by outlanding, outworking and even knocking him down in their 12rd fight.I say Johnson wins an easy decision over Tarver.

i would hope for glen to beat tarver..that would be so great the guy that no one knew..to come back ko jones and beat the guy who ko'ed jones first to shut him up would be great...then he should retired and get a BJ from his wife cuz he would deserve it :D

Tarver is too big too strong and his defense is too good for johnson's wild shots, Tarver by decision or late stoppage

I don't give a **** about this fight. I'm more curious than excited. They both still have a ****load to prove than KOing an unmotivated glass chinned ****y RJJ.

But Harding is actually good.

Johnson couldn't come out and do to Tarver what he did to Jonesy. Tarver would make him pay for his mistakes more often.

Tarvers size, power and boxing ability will stop it in the 8th or 9th.

as much as i hate to say it i think tarver would win. tarver is too big. it took johnson 9(?) rounds to KO a old looking jones and it only took tarver alittle over one round to end it. tarver by KO (damn i hate how that sounds).

I think Tarver would probably win this battle of the One Hit Wonders by decision.

He actually needed 13Rds,because there was two fights between Tarver-Jones ya know?Johnson only needed 9rds to knockout RJ.

Johnson by EASY decision

both are taking a ride on jones' coat tails to the paper. i dont want to see this fight it should be a b.a.d(boxing after dark) fight.tarver could do far better for himself if he steps up and fights jt or ruiz. as for johnson use his newfound fame at the bargaining table against calzaghe(spelling?).

Tarver is the bigger puncher, but then, RJJ is a bigger puncher than Glen Johnson and Johnson KTFO'd his ass. It's probably gonna be Tarver but i'd sure like to see Johnson try that smothering attack on Tarver

Not to put Johnson down but i dont think he can beat Tarver, When he knock jones out lets face it Jones is not a spring chicken any more and simply can not take a punch. In his first heavyweight fight he simply ran the whole fight and when he had to stay and fight like his last 2 light heavyweight fights he got knocked out, Johnson simply got a lucky punch Tarver wins hands down

Johnson did not land a lucky punch on Jones. He simply beat Jones that night and while I didn't expect the knockout it didn't surprise me either.
