Brok Lesnar was a highly decorated amateur wrestler and WWE superstar. His decision to make the transition to MMA has sparked worldwide interest in the 6-foot-3 265 pound behemoth. Power Slam magazine out of the U.K. recently caught up with the UFC heavyweight to get his thoughts on a variety of issues. Below are some of the highlights:
Lesnar on leaving the WWE to join the NFL:

Absolutely not. It's the best thing I ever did. By the time I was done and wanted to leave the company, you couldn't have paid me enough money to stick around. I wasn't having fun anymore... You live only once on this planet, and I would rather know the outcome of something than regret never trying it. My whole life, I've accepted different challenges and challenged myself in different ways. A lot of people don't do that. A lot of people don't take risks. A lot of people are comfortable living their lives that way. But I'm a risk-taker. At least I gave (football) a shot and I know.

Lesnar On Talking About His UFC Contract:

Why would I want to? That's my business and none of yours. I want to become the champion.

Lesnar On A Rumored Amateur Wrestling Match With Kurt Angle In 2002:

Yeah. I pinned him in 30 seconds and it was over.

Lesnar On Angles MMA Aspirations:

It's just a lot of talk. Kurt hasn't done any of the right things to make the transition. If all you're doing is talking, after a while, people don't really take you seriously anymore. As the old saying goes, actions speak louder than words.

Lesnar On Joining The WWE:

(Vince and I) had some talks about it. But it was a one-sided conversation, and I wasn't comfortable about going back to work for him. So, I decided to continue to pursue the lawsuit.

Lesnar on marriage to Rena "Sable" Lesnar And The Worst Rumor He's Heard:

That me and Sable are divorced... We're married. In fact, we're having breakfast together right now.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
mostly WWE talk but i thought i'd post it anyways. and it appears he did beat Kurt Angle in a Amateur Wrestling Contest.

I heard Kurt Angle beat him on a plane while Lesnar was sitting next to Paul Heyman and Kurt Challenged him and Paul said if Lesnar were to turn the challenge down he wouldnt be looked at the same way again. So lesnar accepted and got beat.

Everything I read on wrestling sites said that Angle beat him, not the other way around
