Tito really have a hand in the rise of the UFC, he was the poster boy no doubt. His current fighing doesnt keep him around, its his history. I think people forget how good he was from like what 96-02 he dominated the UFC. I think his only loss was to Frank Shamrock.

and guy metzger, which was actually his first loss in the ufc. tito did help make it what it is today, thats not even a question. its mainly his history that keeps him around, but we're talking a few years... he hasnt been benched, hes only lost to chuck and randy, which is nothing to cry over, those guys are phenominal to date. tito might be washed now, maybe not. but during "tito's time"... he fought GREAT fighters. he fought kondo when he was at his prime, beat matushaynko when he was in his prime, he beat wanderlei silva way back when, he beat vitor belfort... so he definately made a name for himself... but just like royce, shamrock, tito... and now hughes are all starting to see the game evolve faster than them. this sport became so famous, so fast, it seemed to have past alot of good fighters by

tito could still be a good fighter, i just dont think he has the hunger anymore. if he isnt facing the liddel's or couture's of the world i just dont think he cares.
