Ok guys later this week a member of the Offical usa boxing assosiation is coming to our gym. We will be able to get a usa boxing licesne but we have to show proof of age and bring a picture. I just turned 17. I heard that when your older than 16 you could fight anyone

well if your 17 you should be training and sparring with grown men anyway and if your not and you in the junior group wth little kids then you need to move up as to fighting a grown man i wouldnt wrry you will be fighting people yur own weight so it wont be much diffrent if anything you could have an advantage been a young age .

your a grown man anyway almost if your 17

they do their very best to match u according to weight and age. it is possible that u would have to fight someone older yes, but that could also be an advantage in some cases. when i was like 19 i fought a 30 year old dude and it only happned one time in my entire AM boxing career, so it dont happen often, but if it does, use ur age to kill the old dinosaurs!!!

I'm 17, in my 2 fights i've fought a 20 year old and a 25 year old. You will find that a lot of guys won't respect your power and come forward, you need to box and move. Just think, when you get to that age, how good you will be!
