wow what a ****ing mess.

in case some of you don't know, somebody has been hacking into phil's AIM account and posing as him.
us and several other's had given the imposter interviews and all hell broke loose when phil found out this morning.

the way it looked on the surface was that WE were fabricating bull**** interviews to get promotion for the site. that was never the case.

since then i have spoken this morning to phil's manager- mark salvato, joe silva from zuffa, and my buddy jay who set it up. we all worked it out and let it be known that it was these ****in hacker ******s that screwed everything up and not any of the mma websites.

sorry to blake too. he was asked at last minute to do the interview and kinda took a lott'v **** for it.

jay talked to phil and i'll be contacting phil later tonight so we can have a real interview set up.




and for the dumb****s who hacked:
will you guys ever give up already? do you HONESTLY think you're going to acomplish whatever the **** it is that you're trying to do???

had an email been sent out then the same thing woulda happened.

it's safe to say that when ANYTHING is conducted over the internet that no-life hackers can throw a wrench into the works. so all you can do is handle it the right way and come out ahead in the end.

I think it's a bit harsh to blame people who honestly who conducted the interview who felt they were doing the right thing.

That said, I don't think they'll be making the same mistake twice, will be making damn sure the interview went through official channels next time to prevent this from ever happening again.

When Tanner was organising things like this on Sherdog, he'd normally verify who it was he was dealing with through various channels (ie. managers, phonecalls, etc) and not just rely by the 'net alone, unless he knew for sure who he was dealin' with.

I just think in future better authentication is required that's all.

I can understand why Phil might be upset and if I were the admin here, I'd be grateful if he didn't sue. That said, the admins here have made every effort of restitution to correct the situation from what Purity is posting here. And anyone that knows Tony knows that he's a man of his word.

I haven't read the interview yet but I think it's a bit harsh to blame the admins here 100%. Granted more could have been done to verify from the sounds of it, but what's done is done. At least they know so that infuture none of this **** happens again.

That said however, if it's Phil's computer that has been compromised (from the sounds of it) then the onus of responsibility for that computer's security is him and not the staff of GlobalMMA.com.
