does that mean a 2 miles in 8 mins 30sec? or 8 footsteps per 30 secs?
moin126 01-02-2008, 12:02 PM this is one sick workout. But its not really focused on boxing,
Altough it doesnt do any harm either :D, running in broken rhythem i think is the best for boxing, not just lost distance. also sprints for explosive power, mixed with burpees.
its really not a sick workout.. its simple at best..
simple but effective
moin126 01-02-2008, 01:36 PM i think its sick if you do it,
but not particulary effective boxing wise ;)
mrh1275 01-02-2008, 02:51 PM no i'm not training to be a seal..
what i'm going to do is run as per the workout
in the morning..build up muscle endurance with pushups/chin ups etc
and replace the swimming with conditioning drills 4-5 days a week.
burpees,tabata,jump rope intervals etc..
and also do my usual boxing routine but not finish with bw exercises,as this could be overtraining..only bag work and jump rope for boxing days...
keep it light the first few days to see how u feel u kno..
then ull make ajustments
Smokin__ 01-02-2008, 05:31 PM I'm 220 and i would cut at least 20 pounds doing that. Even if I was eating like a truck, I would cut the weight easily.
No ****ing way i'd do that if i was ab ig guy. But if I was little aroudn 185 lbs...i'd do it.
mrh1275 01-02-2008, 06:09 PM im 155 and 9%bf
i dont wanna lose any weight though

It's ok i found out. It was in fine print at the bottom- yes they are saying 8.30 per mile. It's just that i assumed it to be really demanding. I guess somewhere along the way it must get tougher!
