FILIPINO Superflyweight prospect AJ Banal 16(13)-0-1 will be in for tougher fights starting next year.

According to manager Michael Aldeguer, they are now looking at world-rated opponents to gradually test the skills of their young prospect who just turned 19 on December 28.

Aldeguer said he recently asked their foreign partner and well-known matchmaker Sampson Lewkowicz to negotiate with the camp of three-time world title challenger and former Olympian Jose Navarro for a possible fight late next year.

Navarro is slated to challenge WBC superflyweight champion Christian Mijares on February 16 at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, Nevada.

IMO Banal can beat Navarro...Kirilov 29(9)-3-0 who's not a power puncher floored Navarro 26(12)-3-0 in their last fight and Kirilov won via UD....It's a tough test for sure pero AJ can handle him....
