Chuck Lidell did score a pretty decent win last night and honestly this is as high as his skill level at this age can take him. He needs to retire. This is as close to going out on top as he can get to. I understand he looked better in the fight then he had in his previous two. My whole reasoning is he will NEVER beat Rampage. Chuck was so gassed after two and a half rounds can you picture him going five with Rampage? (Not that he'd last that long) Seriously his conditioning is ****. He was watching the clock the entire third round trying to avoid passing out. With the light heavyweight division in my eyes the premiere division in the UFC today Chuck does not factor in. I'd put Forest, Evans, Bisping, Rua, Jardine, and Rampage all above Chuck in that division. He just doesn't have the conditioning and his one dimmensional fight game is not gonna work against these other guys. Silva of course is just as one dimmensional which was why they always wanted to see the fight, but MMA cannot be dominated strictly by a stand up game anymore especially by a guy who tries to stand across the ring and survive the last half of round three in only a three round fight.

i don't think Chuck will retire just yet, he'll probably take one more run at the title. an who knows maybe Forest can beat Rampage, and make a better match up for Liddel.
but i'm quite sure they said Chuck would at least need 2 string 2gether 2 solid wins b4 he gets another shot, i think his next fight will b against Lyoto Machida he should b inline for a shot after Forest but thats one long wait since they are coaches on the next season of TUF, and a #1 contender fight between Machida and Liddel would make some sense.
ohh an welcome 2 the forum read some of your post :fing02: good stuff.
peace.

No what Chuck needs to do is move up to the Heavyweights because its not as demanding as the light heavyweights and its the easiest way to win a UFC belt before he retires

I just wasn't as impressed with Chuck as everybody else after this fight. Chuck going to Heavyweight? Uh.....Honestly the HW division right now is so weak it's hard to watch. It's a damn shame when I gotta become a Congo fan jus to like UFC HW's since Dane apparently "didn't really wanna sign Fedor". Also, I thought yall might appreciate the *****es especially seeing some of them dog ass hoez in some of these avatars and sigs.

:thumbsdow after watching the fight im just goin 2 put this all over the forum
Wanderlei won that Fight.
Chuck was RUNNING THE WHOLE FIGHT!....Chuck and Wanderlei were almost even on the shots i give Wanderlei the slight edge EXCEPT FOR CHUCKS LATE FLURRY in the last 20 seconds.....the last 20 seconds can not win u a fight.
someone watch the fight again and tell me chuck wasn't running all 3 rounds.....wanderlei rocked chuck jus as many times as chuck rocked wanderlei...AGRESSION AND OCTAGON CONTROL WENT 2 WANDERLEI... Striking i scored as even thoughout the fight.
so someone jus watch the figh again and tell me chuck wasn't running all 3 rounds and that wanderlei didn't have control of the center of the octagon for the majority of the fight.

I scored it
round 1 for Chuck
round 2 for Silva (because of the KD)
round 3 for Chuck

Would've been even better had it been a 5 round fight.

my score was draw first round.
second round Wanderlei.
3rd Draw, with the takedown for chuck and the control of the round for wanderlei when chuck was running.
