View Full Version : i feel sorry for Huges!!!!!!!! slicksouthpaw16 12-30-2007, 01:34 AM i meant hughes..lol. he just got toyed with and bullied around the ring. you can tell that hes well past his prime and should retire. :nonono: TheGreatA 12-30-2007, 01:35 AM Yeah Hughes is done but he has had a good career. Serra really f'd him over by pulling out of the fight. Bring on Serra vs GSP II. Gareth Ivanovic 12-30-2007, 01:37 AM What happened did GSP beat the **** out of Hughes again. blockhead 12-30-2007, 01:37 AM canadian george is going to destroy serra just as badly as he did hughes. slicksouthpaw16 12-30-2007, 01:38 AM Yeah Hughes is done but he has had a good career. Serra really f'd him over by pulling out of the fight. Bring on Serra vs GSP II. that was probably a good thing because Serra would have probably been worse on Hughes. well lets look at the positive, Hughes is in the hall of fame and had a good career. :boxing: TheGreatA 12-30-2007, 01:38 AM What happened did GSP beat the **** out of Hughes again. GSP outwrestled him, pummeled him and submitted him. Gareth Ivanovic 12-30-2007, 01:38 AM Was it an even more dominating performance by GSP than in the second fight. MJ406 12-30-2007, 01:39 AM it wasn't even close. St. Pierre dominated DRZ 12-30-2007, 01:39 AM Im not used to seeing hughes getting manhandled that much. yeah, he should retire soon moofo 12-30-2007, 01:40 AM At 34 Hughes is done. St-Pierre is peaking and 8 yrs younger. TheGreatA 12-30-2007, 01:40 AM Was it an even more dominating performance by GSP than in the second fight. About as dominant as you can get. But then again so was the second fight. King Koopa 12-30-2007, 01:41 AM Pierre beat the dog **** outta Hughes, very impressive slicksouthpaw16 12-30-2007, 01:41 AM What happened did GSP beat the **** out of Hughes again. he didn't beat him up, he just toyed with him and bullied him around the ring like a rag doll and submitted him in round 2. Darkstar 12-30-2007, 01:43 AM Hughes should have never took that fight. Serra was a way better match up for him. Gareth Ivanovic 12-30-2007, 01:44 AM he didn't beat him up, he just toyed with him and bullied him around the ring like a rag doll and submitted him in round 2. Nice I was hoping that GSP would dominate again. Good to see he KO'ed Hughes in the second fight and now submitted him in the third. Shows he's an all around MMA fighter. slicksouthpaw16 12-30-2007, 01:46 AM Hughes should have never took that fight. Serra was a way better match up for him. i agree, Hughes looked pretty shot. Darkstar 12-30-2007, 01:48 AM i agree, Hughes looked pretty shot. I think he has 2 more fights in his contract. Him and Serra will have thier day, one way or another. blockhead 12-30-2007, 01:48 AM i agree, Hughes looked pretty shot. i think focusing on hughes looking bad rather than canadian george looking really really ****ing good is a mistake. SnoopySmurf 12-30-2007, 01:50 AM Matt is an ass. Thank you, GSP. slicksouthpaw16 12-30-2007, 03:28 AM i think focusing on hughes looking bad rather than canadian george looking really really ****ing good is a mistake. everyone knows that George is a great fighter but come on man, Hughes was just past his prime. George did not even dominate like that in the second fight. Hughes in his prime was too good to be dominated and bullied around like a rag doll by anyone in history. :boxing: blockhead 12-30-2007, 03:34 AM everyone knows that George is a great fighter but come on man, Hughes was just past his prime. George did not even dominate like that in the second fight. Hughes in his prime was too good to be dominated and bullied around like a rag doll by anyone in history. :boxing: i agree that hughes was past his best days but i think focusing on how good canadian george is; is much more fun and effective than talking about how hughes' karma for being such a tool has caught up with him. Palma 12-30-2007, 04:15 AM I would still like to see a Hughes vs. Serra fight just for the heck of it. Blair_Wells#32 12-30-2007, 06:59 AM Serra Vs George St Pierre In Montreal in April  the only thing that sucks is i'm on the other side of the bloody country :lol1: :crucified <<< thats what they're gonna do 2 me for cheering on serra if i make it 2 the event. :lol1: should b a great fight though, haven' theard any news on serra yet but they'll most likely interview him in the next week for a comment on fights GSP. Azteca 12-30-2007, 02:01 PM You guys gotta remember here,...this is St-Pierre he's dealing with. Hughes was a great fighter and a great champ and he would still beat every welterweight out there...but GSP is a ****ing monster and is going to kill Serra and have a long reign in the Welterweight division if he doesn't move up. Him, along with A.Silva, are the two best MMA athletes at this moment...Fedor is the best MMA fighter, however. MJ406 12-30-2007, 04:49 PM I know St. Pierre handled Hughes was never in danger. very good fight. so the rematch between Serra and St. Pierre is definetly gonna be in April? really looking forward to it. and hoping that sometime down the line Hughes and Serra can meet up/ slicksouthpaw16 12-30-2007, 05:33 PM i agree that hughes was past his best days but i think focusing on how good canadian george is; is much more fun and effective than talking about how hughes' karma for being such a tool has caught up with him. i see what you are saying :) ScrewasideMMA 12-30-2007, 05:36 PM I personally never wanna see Hughes in the ring again after that. GSP did exactly the kind of man handling to Hughes that Hughes did to the entire division in his prime. The thing about it is in the promos for the fight it was funny with Hughes's claims to be alot better on the ground than GSP. GSP would take him down on the ground the entire fight and dominate him. If GSP fights like that Sera has absolutely no shot in hell and this coming from a Sera fan. Blair_Wells#32 12-30-2007, 06:56 PM yup Serra should b cleared 2 fight by than and Dana White said in one of his interviews that no matter the outcome of last nights fight with Hughes that GSP would b fighting in April on the Montreal Card. :purity: everyone counting out Serra already....:nono: the same stuff everyone was saying b4 their last fight an that was because of George St Pierres' stand up an Serra knocked GSP on his ass 3 times that fight, and if the fight ends up on the ground Serra has him beat there as well IMHO, Serra is a hell of alot better on the ground than Hughes. GSP has been working hard though, and if he has his head on right for the Montreal card than it will b a great fight. I'm a big fan of both fighters and would b happy with whoever won, but jus counting Serra out so early jus bugs me :lol1: peace. ohhh and Matt Hughes can't retire yet, i want Serra 2 KO him or make him Tap next :fingersx: ScrewasideMMA 12-30-2007, 07:00 PM I honestly had that opinion until such dominance I witnessed last night. I wish Sera had KO'd Hughes though. pbf456 12-30-2007, 07:01 PM I think GSP is going to destroy Serra this time around. I think without a doubt Hughes had a better shot against Serra than GSP. |
