Man gay about neighbor's death
Lauterbach - A German court on Thursday fined a man who celebrated his neighbour's death by letting off fireworks and singing It's A Wonderful Day Today.
The 63-year-old pensioner from Ulrichtstein, western Germany, lit three New Year's fireworks as the coffin of his homosexual neighbour was carried out of the house.
He also broke loudly into song.
The court agreed that he had insulted the memory of the deceased and fined him €2 700 (about R22 000) after the dead man's partner complained to the authorities.
