Soku defeated two top fighters in Pride and Machida beat BJ Penn, Forrest, Franklin.

But Soku has some heavy hands and his Judo is excellent.

Hard to pick a winner but Machida might just get the UD over Soku.

Machida is very hard to hit, he will frustrate Sokoudjou and just pick up points.

Sokoudjou has good kicks but his punches are a touch on the wild side, so i cant see him landing the big 1 on Lyoto.

I would imagine Sokoudjou would be the betting fav. in this one but i dont see it that way personally.

I'm not sure about these predictions at all.

For some reason my gut keeps telling me to pick Lidell. Dont ****ing know why.

Because Silva is wild, has lost his last two by brutal KO's and his strikes are looping. Chuck is counter-puncher with one punch KO power.

I feel like Liddell's reflexes are gone and he can't see the punches coming anymore and that's why I feel he will lose.
I predict Silva will overwhelm him but no one knows how the KO's have affected him and if he has some ring-rust.

A lot of unknown factors about these match-ups with GSP's short notice and Sokoudjou's inexperience but amazing potential.

I know. But last time I checked Silva lost his last 2 bouts, one of them was to henderson and i cannot remember the other one.

I've always hated Chuck. Hated the dude for years. I thought he was some protected street fighter that got lucky all of these years.

But something about this fight is telling me to pick Lidell. I dont know what the **** it is.

I might just put some actual money down on him.

Well can't really call a wrestler and kickboxer with Liddell's credentials a street fighter.
But he sure does have an annoying look and his punching is as ugly as it gets.

He is awkward as hell and just a born fighter who fights off of great instinct.

He isn't a master but his wrestling is good, he can scramble up to his feet very well and he has competed in karate since he was 12. He wasn't a kickboxer though so I was wrong about that.

He was a high school wrestler, man.

If you can defend Couture's and Tito's takedowns you have to pretty good at wrestling.
I don't think his wrestling is **** offensively but he uses it defensively very well, a hard man to take down, especially to keep down.

Unless you knock him out of course and that's becoming increasingly easier as his reflexes go.

Didn't get that one right but Silva is f'n tough. I guess Chuck still had that one 'performance' left.
