I agree with you. It seems any bum from the street can become a UFC fighter. There aren't any requirements such as black belts, Olympic medals, or affiliations to reflect ones ability. All you have to be is marketable. The UFC sucks. Chuck Liddell is proof.

I see fights on the streets, in bars, in clubs, in schools, and even on youtube. I rarely see talent in the UFC. Houston Alexander is proof.

Without discipline, you have fighters who have no technique, no integrity, and no respect. They will also not have endurance or be able to persevere. Therefore, they are simply canon fodder.

I like the ufc at times, the grappling bores me when theres no action but i like it because the standup fighting is the closest thing to the kickboxing i train in thats on tv, not the other **** where it looks like 2 girls fighting with their hands tied behind their backs and just kicking at each other. it just looks like point sparring. .

so im guessing what upsets you is that the guys fight for 20 seconds, one guy lands a lucky punch and ko's the other guy, and then acts like he just won 10 million dollars dancing around? i see that but some have talent but its not as aparent as a boxing match

For your information, almost all of the top MMA fighters are very successful in other sports such as wrestling/BJJ/muay thai. Some are even olympic medalists. Even Chuck Liddell is a decorated wrestler and kickboxer.

I don't necessarily hate the UFC or any other organization as a whole but on some aspects. I agree that top level fighters are skilled, but its these street trash like War Machine who have no integrity that annoy me. The UFC markets itself as cage fighting, it relies on blood to attract attention, it sells to punks. It relies on these elements and therefore cannot uphold itself as a sport and maintain the discipline, the integrity, and the respect that should be its foundations.

I can agree with that. The way UFC presents itself doesn't appeal to me either. Some UFC fighters are pretty much bums and have no place in MMA except lower level organizations where they should develop their skills to a higher level.

Dont talk **** about it if you dont understand it. I used to hate the ground game until i actually learnt it myself, now its exciting because i know what its all about. So thats basically the reason you dont like the grappling, cause you have no idea whats happening.
Two things you can do:
1. Study grappling or actually participate in it in a club or something
2. dont watch it or fast forward grappling parts

But let me tell you something, its quite obvious that a mma fighter is much more well rounded than any boxer or kickboxer. If you dont believe me, watch the early UFC's where you'll see Royce Gracie at 170lbs beat striiker that weigh much more than him and all that he was proficient in was Brazilian Jui-Jitsu
