Ali (Ali) has already been made.
LaMotta (Raging Bull) has already been made.
James Braddock (Cinderella Man) has already been made.
That's all I can think of right now 'cause I'm tired as ****
and I believe a Micky Ward movie is in the makings!

I'd like to see Robinson though, Mike Tyson (Think there actually is one) Hopkins, Joe Louis, Foreman, Gatti... There's a bunch of dudes that'd be cool to see a movie about.

Roy Jones Jr would be good aswell. Going from his robbery in the olympics to him being untouchable, then him getting KTFO

Marvelous Marvin Hagler.....where as a boy he witnessed the Newark riots that culminated in the destruction of the tenaments where he lived with a single mother, which led to the move to Massachusetts were he started to train in boxing....ending with the middleweight world title after beating Alan Minter to gain the crown who famously said in the build up to the fight "no black man will take my title"

They should make a movie about the Mayweathers, a good Tyson movie is needed too.

A good one would be Michael Watson and how he came from nowhere to defeat Nigel Benn as a big underdog then failed in 3 attempts to win a title with the third ending in tragedy, and how this changed boxing for the good with new safety measures and then his biggest fight of all in trying to make a recovery and then running the london marathon.

Or maybe someone like Arnold Creme (Jersey Joe Walcott) and how he fought and failed 4 times to win the heavyweight title then finally succeeding in his fifth and final attempt to become at the time the oldest ever heavyweight champion.

A Tyson, Louis, Johnson movie have already been made.

Hbo made the Tyson movie, very well done back in the mid 90's. The Louis and Johnson movies probably were in the 60's.

Haven't had a chance to pick up his book, I imagine there's plenty of drama and tragedy.

Johnson, that's self explanatory.

Tysons life is a movie. Raised on the mean streets of brooklyn when crime and murder were through the roof. Hung out with girls because the boys made fun of him and picked on him, knocked out a gang member when he was 13 or whatever and discovered he was tough. So he starts robbing people in the neighborhoods with some thugs going in and out of the juvenile justice system untill he's discovered by an ex boxer who sees potential in him. Gets taken to Cus damato who becomes the father he never had to him and brings him into his family. He trains him untill he becomes the youngest heavyweight champion in history. Damato dies and he plunges into a downward spiral of self destructive and criminal behavior etc etc.

Tysons would be the most action packed because of the whole thug youngster having the father he never had in Cus and then a huge fall from Grace from being the most feared boxer in the world and Heavyweight champion of the world and on the way to being the greatest Heavyweight ever to a Criminal lifestyle with the whole rape. Gattis would be cool because the Rocky Balboa style of Fighting in the films would actually be like Gattis career

Well, most of them have already been mentioned. I suppose they could make a Gerald McClellan movie with a good message i.e. the brutality of Boxing.
Sonny Liston had a very interesting life. And Evander Holyfield could end up in another Rocky-like movie.

They were suppose to do a Liston one, but it got canceled. Ving Rhames was supposed to star as Sonny Liston, but when it got canceled he went ahead to do the movie "Undisputed" (which is supposedly loosely based on Mike Tyson) with Wesley Snipes since he was already in boxing shape after training for the Liston movie. I heard talk of there being a Bernard Hopkins movie, i'm not the biggest B-Hop fan, but I think his story would make a good movie. I think any Tyson movie at this point would be a bit of a disappointment (atleast to hardcore fans) much like any Ali movie that would come out because there was so much that happened in their lives that a 2 hour movie couldn't possibly touch on everything that we would all want to see. Although I did like the talk of Jamie Fox possibly playing the role. I used to think it would be far fetched, but Jamie has been bulking up a bit as of late, and he does Mike's voice pretty good. I do think a George Foreman movie is a bit overdue, should have been made already imo. Also, with the following that Floyd Mayweather has from the 24/7 shows, maybe a movie about his life might catch some interest.

i know a few folks on here have discussed 'Tucan' McGinty on here before with me, but i really reckon his film would be cool, because of the history that goes with it. If you don't know, he was one of the first white fighters to accept black opponents - much to alot of peoples distain.

So... i reckon that would be a pretty cool film. Probs with a good message too. He was **** hot aswell apparently.

McGinty would make a pretty good film, true. Just that people need to know the story behind him first.

Jersey Joe Walcott claiming Heavyweight Title at fourth attempt. His extraodinary tale of 'perseverence' to win Title at 37 would be great to watch as a movie. One of my favourite fighters! You'd be guaranteed laughs and plenty of action packed drama if a movie or documentary was made of James Lights Out Toney's life and career! Toney's Boxing's equivalent of the A Team's Mr T!

Growing up on the mean streets of Panama City, the story of Roberto Durán - not unlike that of Mike Tyson - would make a compelling, if not best movie. I'd cast John Leguizamo in the title roll.

George Foreman movie would be a FANTASTIC movie. Seriously, imagine.

George supposedly grew up on a farm..thats a fun scenario for movies...then he sparred with Liston, they could throw some of his story into it...then he wins Olympic gold, then of course his boxing career and him destroying people and then losing to Ali. then he faints and has that Talk with God he said happened, which would be good for a movie. then he becomes a born again Christian. then they show him training children and all that. then, of course, his comeback upset of becoming the oldest heavyweight champion of all time.
It has multiple scenarios, supernatural events, character developement, dramatic events, well known characters...dont need to add in anything in, it would be perfect to make a movie out of

and the REAL best part? non-boxing fans would recongnise 'that man with the grills' and go to see that movie.
Everyone loves the George Foreman grills! theyre more famous than his boxing career!
seriously, it would make millions
