How do you guys feel about soda. I have a 16 oz. mountain dew every day and i want to know how you think that is affecting me. Do you think it is really that big of a deal?

Soda is not quite -- but just about -- the worst thing you can put in your body legally. High fructose corn syrup, the sweetener in soda (and nearly every other drink these days) makes your body CREATE fat -- look it up; it's been proven to trigger hepatic lipogenesis. Scientists feed HFCS to mice to make them obese so that they can then do obesity-drug tests. A 16 oz. soda has as many sugar calories as 13 heaping spoonfuls of sugar and it has just about as much nutritional value. Probably less nutritional value when you count the phosphoric acid, which is an industrial rust remover that is added to soda for flavor. Go figure.

High fructose corn syrup is only marginally worse for you than aspartame -- which kills your testosterone levels, BTW, and has been linked to Alzheimer's and brain lesions -- and sucralose, which ****s up your glycogen response, which is what you use to "load up" with carbs before a workout and is also the way protein is transported to muscles to recover after a workout.

Dump sugar. Completely. It's not that hard. Drink unsweetened iced tea, or tonic water.
