To Anthony Mundine,

I have been a fan of your boxing career ever since it started. I have bought nearly ever single PPV that you have had on sale to watch you box in the ring. When i watch you i see a fighter who is still improving, which is obvious as you have had little amateur experience. In that fighter, i see talent in both defence and attack and all the ingredients needed to be a star in the sport. Your defence is top notch and you have good speed. Your talent or ability is not the problem here as you obviously have bucketloads of it and you obviously know that.

However i find it hard to believe that you continue to name domestic class fighters as opposition such as Nievas, Clavero and Hamden, these guys being far from world class. Anthony, im going to be straight with you here you should be fighting in the USA or at least bringing some big names like Bute, Kessler, Calzaghe, Inkin, Andrade or Lacy to Australia. We know you have the money to bring them here, or fight them overseas, you have all your options open.

The small boxing community in Australia know that you are wasting your talent, which i will once again say you have bucketloads of. Its an insult aswell to the boxing community that you continue to scab $50 a PPV off them. You are slowly but surely loosing your fans, something a boxer should never want.

Sure your making good money fighting these domestic level fighters. But from the boxing communities perspective its bizarre you don't make the step up and fight the best. Because its not like you don't stand a chance, you can beat anyone on your night if things go your way even Kessler, Bute etc etc.

Anthony after buying all your PPV's and being a major fan and even promoting you through boxing forums, i think its time i called it a day as your fan. Its sad watching such a great fighter go to waste. You should look at someone like De La Hoya, even if you loose fighting the best no one is going to hold it aginst you. We just want you to give it your all. Because if you can get over Kessler, like we think you can, you could possibly unify the super middleweight division and fight other big names in the middleweight and light heavyweight division after that. Don't bother fighting Danny Green again, its a waste of time and talent.

So finally, please think to yourself. In 50 years time, will Australia remember me? The way your going at the moment, probably not. If you take these big fights, you will be richer than you could be fighting these domestic fighters and you will have a legacy and a genuine chance at cementing your calls as Australia's greatest ever sportsman.

Regards

The guy at the bar will probably have 1 look at your letter, and think.. ''ahh how annoying '' and straight into the bin..

''That's $3.30 for the drink thanks''.

God... and to think I've paid $250 for his next match against Hamdan.
He really does need to expand himself.
You know, if you look at it through the perspective of Hamdan, Claverio and all the other ones he's fought...I think they're pretty lucky to fight someone as great as Mundine. In a way, he's done them a favour.
But nevertheless, I really hope he sets himself to compete others that are a lot more challenging and are out of his ''comfortable'' league.

Goodluck with the letter =)

Mundine is wasting his talent. No one can justify why hes fighting Clavero, Hamden or Nievas. Its not like were demanding a massive jump in fights. Bika, Lacy are still easy wins for Mundine.

He had a lot of fans after beating Sam Soliman this year. His fan numbers were peaking. Now hes loosing the respect of the Australian boxing public. Its a shame. I thought we were in for something special with this guy. We could easily still be, but it doesn't seem this way.

Brently : I don't think the boxa cafe will accept it. Could you get this to him, and get a response somehow?
