View Full Version : I'm quitting my job

this is the 3rd time it's happend to me. last time it happened in december of '01.

i go somewhere, make about a year's worth of sacrificing, start making good money, and then (due to internal issues) the company i work for coincidently goes to **** and i have to find another job.

just last month i made over $14,000. i should be getting about $17,000 this month. it took me almost a year of making jack **** and wiping out savings accounts to get to that point. now i have to go elsewhere. this really pisses me off.

i always get stuck working for the most incompetent companies on the ****ing planet. meanwhile people who have a fraction of my talent are making 10 times the amount of $.

i just keep telling myself that everything happens for a reason. i guess i'm just learning it the hard way. in the end, that's the best way to learn it so i'll just keep the faith. i thank God for the lessons He has given me.

time to start all over again.
time to kick some ****in ass.

are you going to a totally different career field or somewhere else?

you're quitting or being laid off?

i'm quitting. you don't get laid off in this field unless you can't produce. my problem is, no joke, just the opposite.

actually, the GOOD thing is that NO i'm not going into a new field. i'm gonna continue originating loans because the rates are still very low. i still have a chance to rebuild a whole new pipeline before they skyrocket up.

You guys don't really have enforcible non-competes down there do ya?

Purity
05-07-2003, 05:11 PM
not in this field you don't. usually that's just with management ****.

I had to rebuild my desk a little over a year ago so I feel your pain, but I also got sued for violating my non-compete contract. Starting over sucks, but once you know what it takes and that you can do it, it's not so terribly heinous. Maybe you'll love your next work eniro.

Yes, but it's not clear why he's leaving.

He said he's quitting.

Second post says:
"i'm quitting. you don't get laid off in this field unless you can't produce. my problem is, no joke, just the opposite."

Does that mean he got retrenched for OVER producing???
He hints at ****ed up management (I hear you Purity) but it's not stated clearly why he is leaving.

Make your own.

already did.

in real estate, i don't think it would be smart to start my own mortgage company being in the loan business for only a year so far.

If you do, you want to start your own corporation - look at the different types of corporation, and shield yourself from an liabilities as much as possible.

California is far too litigable for my liking.... you shake a guy's hand one day, the next he doesn't like you and sues you for causing arthritis or RSI in his hand...

How exactly do you get ropes into workiing for a bunch of cowboys like that? Surely you should be able to tell within the first week that something is not right with the company.

everything was going fine until they brought in the middleman "efficiency expert" a couple months ago. his plans would have actually helped out the company but he's just to ****ing incompetent to be in any position of authority.
i could stay and fight it but i would rather make more money and deal with less stress in my life.
