Former Matt Hughes training partner and IFL champion Ben Rothwell did not mince words when expressing his thoughts on the upcoming fight between Matt Hughes and Georges St. Pierre.
“I can’t say I won’t be happy if St. Pierre gets another head kick through," said Rothwell to Bob Parson of Carson's Corner. “I never really liked him. He always had a bad attitude.”

He also made a recent post on an mma forum at Sherdog.com where he elaborated a little more on Hughes:

“He treats people around him poorly and has no respect. Really when I hear him talk about God and do this and do that and I love my wife, I want to puke you (Hughes) couldn’t look anyone in the face anymore, and you f-ed Monte (Cox) and Pat (Miletich) over and the ****ing gym that MADE YOU”

Hughes has more hate towards him than ever. But in the cage he is a force, this isnt a sport for nice guys. GSP is great but my money is on Hughes.

hughes isn't what he used to be, now he just wants to stay home on the farm and beat his wife or whatever he does, and play with his daughter. i don't think the motivation is there anymore, and GSP was really owning him the last time

...also it does bother me somewhat that hughes is friends with jens pulver ( my favorite MMA fighter of all time) but i think that's just cause they train at the same gym. i bet even jens would say hughes is a piece of ****

:lol1: that was pretty funny. But Hughes isnt what he once was but I see a shift in people just wanting to write him off. After coming of a high tension season of TUF I think his motivation will be there. He also has the mental edge of already beating GSP once. GSP is good but I dont think I have prove to anyone how good Hughes was/is. I think old Matt has one more good fight in him.

Your a lil evil fan? Pulver is my fav fighter too. Ive never heard him say anything bad about Hughes. More than anything hes said how great he is and how hard he works. Have you read Jens book "Never"?
