On that note Seldom, have you tried the new Sterling beers? Do you think they're better than Crowns? I have a mate who swears black and blue that Sterlings rule over Crown, even though they are a light beer....

Jake...I use to go out on the piss with a mate of mine and we would set ourselves challenges like drinking one of every beer in the fridge and stuff like that. The only exceptions were Fosters all types and anything light or mid strength.

So no, I haven't tried Sterling, I admit, I was tempted once and may well do one day, but to be honest I find drinking light to be like taking a female relative out on a hot date. It just isn't the same

I heard that Sterling is actually a really, REALLY good beer. Like, the Victoria Crown of light beer. I have a mate of mine, who is a SERIOUS drinker, comes from a line of serious drinkers (he's a Dutch-Aussie, so trust me on this), and he's adamant on the Sterling.

So when this guy tells me it's a good beer, I believe it is a good beer. I just wanted a second opinion on it.

The idea was that they wanted to come up with a premier light beer. Sterlings are the end result.

Word around the campfire is these things aren't bad.

My guess is, even for a light beer, they will still own over any American beer I will have to get used to...
