View Full Version : Dawson and Geale put on an awesome fight!!!
BROOKLYN CESAR 12-15-2007, 01:41 AM Both these guys were awesome!!! Geale like most here thought was to good at what he does!!! He worked perfectly behind a solid jab and using his combos beautifully to keep dawson at bay!!!
Dawson to his credit showed that he has a big heart by throwing everything he could at geale and even sticking his head out in the last round of the bout and letting geale tag him at will!!! You could see dawson was the bigger puncher in there!!! But geale was just to slick for him!!!
Great fight how did you have the fight going???
I had it 118 geale 110 dawson!!!
Dick-Sucker 12-15-2007, 03:37 AM well i appreciated it. Because everything else is usually crap on fox sports. Geale, well hes a smart fighter. Good to see him in action.
brently1979 12-15-2007, 08:11 PM It was the best of a bad bunch. Far from World Class action, but better the last main event Fox Sports did.

Lester Ellis vs Barry Michael??? I know it was a long time ago. It might happen one day in our life time.

I think Geale would get owned if he fought a real solid ranked middleweight.

lol the win pushed him to 6th on the "highly regarded" boxrec rankings LOL.

See what I mean, don't get me wrong. I like Geale, he fought a good, smart & tough fight. But the guy isn't number 6 in the world. I hope for his sake he stays here in Australia and doesn't get Fenech to line him up a shot at the WBC title like he did with Glen Kelly and the rest of them. Geale is a very Good Australian Middle Champ, he should be proud of that.

agreed, why not line up the commonwealth title or something... haha yeah right... fenech will send him to the wolves.

I'm glad somebody here has a realistic view on things.
Biggus Dickus 12-16-2007, 05:27 PM Geale seemed to get flustered when he was cut which allowed Dawson back into the fight for a couple of rounds, but he regained his composure and came home strong. I thought he showed really good movement and didn't allow Dawson to get set which was the key to his victory. I'm still not sold on his chin though. He is only 26 though and still has time on his side. A slow progression and some overseas fights we could see where he is really at. He should get rid of Fenech as his trainer though.

That's spot on, but he's under Fenech's spell at the moment. He thinks Jeff is good for him and owes a lot to the guy, I only gathered this by what he said after the fight. Jeff is only in it for himself, he just wants to get on TV anyway he can. Fenech will feed him to the Lions soon after a real world title shot ends in tears.
