View Full Version : Darts world championship.........
Chunk 12-13-2007, 07:00 PM ...........starts next week at the new venue, Alexandra Palace.
Can't wait, love the darts. I fancy Barney to win it again this year, with James Wade being the possible dark hourse for the tittle.
Carry on.
DURAN_IS_GOD 12-14-2007, 05:33 AM nah mate taylor will come back with avengence this year

the year before me and my mates headed down to purfleet to watch the quarters and semis. we were drinking stella under the hot tv lights, and when we got up to leave my mate just fell over cus he was so pissed. about 50 darts fans were all chanting at him "SHE FELL OVER, SHE FELL OVER"

should be in the Olympics, if the americans can get basketball in there and baseball as a guest sport then darts has to be in, just see Phill the Power with his gold medal and when he lifts his arms up his belly flops out

can't look past the Power, seen him in a charity event, he placed a A4 sheet of paper over the dart board, chucked his arrows and when you lifted the paper he had 180,
Chunk 12-18-2007, 06:47 PM ****ing hell!!! the power is getting pushed all the way by Van Gerwen!
DURAN_IS_GOD 12-19-2007, 04:18 AM ****ing hell!!! the power is getting pushed all the way by Van Gerwen!
my heart was in my mouth when he had double 12 to win.... why the hell did he step away from the oki for?????? bad move imo
Don PWNleone 12-19-2007, 04:26 AM Taylor is always vulnerable in the shorter matches.
Chunk 12-27-2007, 06:02 PM Taylor in yet another final set decider.
These games will take its toll on him methinks?
Tuggers1986 12-27-2007, 06:06 PM Taylor's past it. Wade will win if he's on form.
Ive been to watch the darts 5 times this year. I even went over to dublin to watch it in october
Chunk 12-28-2007, 05:41 PM Painter 4 - 2 Barney.:puppy_dog
What a performance by painter, nearly beat the reigning champion with a nine darter!!!
Don PWNleone 01-01-2008, 02:50 PM So it's a weird championship this year with plenty of upsets.
Barney and Taylor both out and there conquerers as well.
The Final tonight.
John Part vs Kirk Shephard.
The former 2 time champion versus the rookie who has come through the qualifiers just to get here. My money is on Part who I can't stand and if he wins will join Raymond Van Barneveld,Phil Taylor,Eric Bristow and John Lowe as one of only 5 men to win a version of the title more than twice.
Don PWNleone 01-02-2008, 06:46 AM ****ing Canadian Cunts the lot of them......
MickyHatton 01-02-2008, 07:14 AM Decent final but Shephard let the occasion get to him early on, you dont come back from 4 sets down very often.
He's young and should be back although Deller who was in a similar position after winning in 83 never quite made it again!

he has a strange style, one thats hard to repeat. darts is like golf, you need to be able to repeat the action
he was getting proper pissed off with himself, mind you at 1 point he scored 26, 39 and 43 i think in a row lol i scored better down my local last week

Makes you realise they are only human when they score like that. The q/f with Taylor and Mardle and Taylor played the worst I've ever seen him play and me at my best could have maybe taken a leg off of him.
On average I usually score between 55 and 75 with 3 darts, but my best average has been 89.1 but I don't play very often only occasionally against my bro in the garage. I throw the darts every day though every time I go out for a cigarette. My average isn't strictly a real average just a rough guage.
I have ten throws and add up my scores as I go along then divide by 10 to find my average for 3 darts in the 10 goes. My highest score so far is 891 but usually get between 550 and 750.
Be interested in seeing if anyone else out there can beat that using the same method.

i will bet you 2k at odds of 3-1 that i can beat ya? haha just kidding mate
to me darts is a game where basically someone with good hand eye co-ordination and then a lot of practice, practice and more practice can become a very good player. the tangibles are the same playing darts. the board, numbers, distance, darts etc all remain the same throughout
