if dawson tests geales chin early i'd lean towards him. if it goes the distance, then i'd say geale takes it. Should be one of the better local fights this year

Geale has been dropped before a few times by lesser punchers than Dawson. Lee Oti dropped him on the Ndou/Rabah undercard although Geale did win a comfortable UD and then stopped him quite easily in the rematch. Also Nonoy Gonzales had him in all sorts apparently (I haven't seen that fight). Makes you wonder about whether or not Geales chin will hold up.

I'm inclined to agree with Ultimateboxa that Geale will win the UD but if Dawson does catch him, it could be all over pretty quickly.

Geale and Fenech have been boasting about how much his power has improved, hopefully there will be fireworks.

Looking forward to this fight.

Id say Dawson will need to hurt him early to win this one!!! Geale is taking a big risk by fighting dawson which is awesome!!! I think Geale can out box him!!!

sounds like everyone is thinking along the same lines. geale the better boxer.. dawson the better puncher..

i read somewhere else someone saying they didnt think geale's chin was all that bad.. and some of the knockdowns had more to do with the fact he's very mobile and so at times his balance isnt there?

it would be a good win for dawson to get after beating solopov.. starting to build some momentum at last

was an average fight with geale outboxing dawson..but dawson was always in with a chance.

either way, i can't see any of these fighters making any impact on the world stage.....i hope i'm proven wrong!

i actually enjoyed the fight. If australian boxing is going to pick up, we need more fights like that one... 2 young underfeated guys putting it on the line for bragging rights.

Yeah, finally a boxing match on FOX Sports that I didn't laugh to myself and actually got excited about watching. There's a first for everything.

hehe,it was funny when they were saying they were fighting for a world title, when they're fighting from the wests tigers leagues club in Leumeah, campbeltown, hehe..
But it wasn't a bad fight,
The thing is,most rounds were pretty close, even the commentators had trouble picking the winner.
Geale was probably doing a little bit more than Dawson in every round, I think I would have given Dawson about 3 rounds or maybe 4, and the rest to Geale.
Sometimes it was hard deciding who won the round.

I think Geale got Dawson's respect early in the fight and he was always reluctant to go on the attack from then on. Well done to Geale. I must say I thought Dawson would have his number but he was lucky to win 2 rounds.

i know geale wasnt exactly throwing with power, but dawson took alot of flush shots and didnt have a mark on him. All dawson needs now is 24 round fights and he might win a UD lol.
